Is this IHRA fallout related, or just an issue with the facility?
Genuinely curious….Dragway 42 was a cool place for a pull and Kyle always did a great job promoting.

Well another BG in the books and overall I thought it was a good one. Did think the semis overall had a rough weekend. The other classes I thought put on a good show. I personally could due with less noise classes mods, twd, fwd, minis but that is just personal preference I am not a fan of the noise classes. I did hear a lot of complaints about the ban on the stadium seats and needing to have just a cushion. I also am not a fan of that rule. After the first night I took my normal stadium seat in and no one said anything. I have two back surgeries and it is difficult to sit on a cushion with no back support for 7-8 hours a day. Just think the new rules need to stop on that front and if they don't I might start to watch it online. Being in pain sucks. Before anyone says no one will miss me and maybe that is true the crowd did look to be on the light side for all sessions at least for BG. Overall still had a great time with buddies and if I am alive and kicking plan to go back.

Watching BG this weekend it occurred to me that there is a lot of Mod classes. People complain about all the single turbo diesel tractor classes (which I agree with), but why do we need Minis, Light Mod, Mod and Unlimted? Then you have TWD which are just mods with truck bodies. I'm not arguing that the classes shouldn't exist, if they are spread over multiple events, but it gets awfully redundant watching it over and over. I know they are trying to have the most powerful classes, but I'd take some less powerful classes just to have some variety.

The Fendt Tour ran a quick pace, but also figured out that alternating tracks keeps the downtime to a minimum for fans, and helps the broadcast (and as a side plus, has safety benefits as well).

People have posted things before excusing or justfying this, but there is really no reason for it. As I've said before, if I wanted to watch a drag race, I'd go to a drag race.
