Where do you start? Which components are going to be safe? Mods have been running them for 45 years now. Everyone is pointing to Meints busting and a few years ago a Doc type rear end which utilizes 9 bolt hubs it broke a hub at an indoor pull. Ace Chassis gave a very thorough explanation on the Meints failure if memory serves me correct, they didn’t build it but were able to analyze the failure. That's two in the last 10 years. In that same 10 year period how many cast tractors have you seen have major to catastrophic failure?

Well since you asked: I’ve campaigned for components to be legal in classes for many years now. I’ve built many ag rears and saw the dangers first hand from improper lightening techniques. I’ve watched and warned about the dangers being implemented by poor rulesets both in chassis design and adopting power generation rules that further compromise an already taxed chassis. However the “I already spent the money train it’ll never happen to me” has far more passengers than the “I can see where this is going and it isn’t going to be good” train. So obviously I haven’t done enough as examples keep showing up time and time again. Maybe someday the light bulb will shine…

What did you expect. Apparently you are a component supporter, and it gets under your skin when someone posts a video or picture of the almighty "component chassis" failing. I know.... it doesn't look good for the lame argument that component chassis are "safer". Don't worry it will be OK, it's Apparent that components are not any safer than ag chassis that have not been compromised. It's ok we know why component supporters truly want components and it's not for "safety ".
