NYTPA compared to NTPA February 15, 2009 11:05AM
There was so much talk before about NYTPA and their tractors and what not. So i am just wondering how people feel about the caliber of nytpa now after Gayton Yelle placed 4th at national farm machinery show., beating Esdon. People said that theres alot of old technology in the nytpa line up for supers, thomas and others have been running right with Gayton all year, even hortons pro has been close to it. So what im wondering is if people think differently about the line up for NYTPA, i personaly think they put on a good show for what they have to work with. What do you guys think?

Isn't Raymond running GN? Is the Oliver an alky?

Re: NYTPA compared to NTPA February 24, 2009 12:39AM
I believe the Oliver is the old Hooter Scooter chassis from last year.

Re: NYTPA compared to NTPA February 25, 2009 07:27PM
So what is Hootman gonna build now?

Re: NYTPA compared to NTPA February 25, 2009 11:24PM
Another scooter! I believe he still has the motor.

Re: NYTPA compared to NTPA February 26, 2009 12:48PM
What's it gonna be this time, a TW35?

Re: NYTPA compared to NTPA February 27, 2009 02:51PM
Hootman's new ride will probally look the same w/ less weight and different charger setup. the engine and sheetmetal went to meet the new chassis last weekend. Mark is working hard to entertain you fans . Say thanks when you see him!

Re: NYTPA compared to NTPA February 28, 2009 12:22AM
Maybe it's a LONG tractor (not Brent)

Re: NYTPA compared to NTPA March 02, 2009 03:02AM
so what are you saying, he is not building his own. it is getting shipped to some one????

Hooter's Scooter March 02, 2009 04:32AM
The chassis is in Jason’s shop, not Mark’s. Mark’s got other projects going on in his shop. The shortblock is mounted in the chassis, and the hood and fenders are already mounted. Mark's still got the head, turbos, plumbing, and fuel system in his shop.

I looked over the new chassis this past Saturday and it looked great. It's still got a fair amount of work before the season starts, but it should be ready in plenty of time for the first hook. It should be a little lighter than his last chassis and there are tons of new ideas.

Side Note: We are no longer accepting PayPal donations. They have changed their terms of service and stated they would fine PayPal users for spreading "misinformation" and "hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory". PayPal did not provide definitions for some of these vague terms. Woke corporate policies regarding "misinformation" could result in an automatic fine of $2,500 which would have been removed directly from the customer’s PayPal account. PayPal did backdown from some of their policies but quietly implemented portions of them in later terms of service. A financial institute has no right to monitor social media accounts or speech. This is unacceptable and I'll no longer do business with PayPal.

Sweet! I can't wait to see it hook! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Grinning Is Jason working on anything to replace the six shooter?

Re: Hooter's Scooter March 02, 2009 03:32PM
Thanks for clearing that up Jake. Sure hope Marks projects turn out great as usual! I'm looking forward to teaming up with the green one. Should be more fun than that old silver D-21. Don't get me wrong . That was fun and thankful for the opportunity! Just looking forward to a new opportunity and a successful season. [successful= fun w/ minimal troubles]

Re: Hooter's Scooter March 03, 2009 01:24PM
Pete Lawrence?

Re: Hooter's Scooter March 03, 2009 01:57PM
How hard was that to figure out? You dropped mine , what's yours?

Re: NYTPA compared to NTPA February 16, 2009 03:51AM
The NYTPA does put on a good show. Most fans that go to an NYTPA event are fans that may get to 1-2 pulls at their local fairs. I think the fans just want to see 2-3 pullers within a few feet of each other. I think they could care less about the technology. The majority just go to see a good pull. JMO

Re: NYTPA compared to NTPA February 16, 2009 04:17AM
How many hooks did Gaton do with the Magnum Force on the NY circuit? I thought he only took it out in Canada and BG???

Did he go to the ESP Banquet I did not see him in the Photo's on there site?

I dont think he was at NYTPA's

Re: Banquet February 16, 2009 02:54PM
I'm not sure why he would go to the ESP banquet? I believe this was the first time Gaeton was a member of NYTPA, at least in recent years.

Re: Banquet February 16, 2009 10:32PM
will the nytpa banquet photo's be updated?

Re: Banquet February 17, 2009 08:18AM
when i get some time i will put them up

Re: Banquet February 17, 2009 08:17AM
he has been a member of nytpa for a long time

Re: Banquet February 17, 2009 04:01PM
In the results the last few years he was listed as a non member. This year I did notice he wa a member. I apologize for the mistake. Thanks for the clarification Harold.

Re: NYTPA compared to NTPA February 16, 2009 01:30PM
Gayten has a pretty full plate of pulling between pulling 6500, 8500, 10500, and 12500 altered with Adirondack tractor pullers, plus he runs as many of the supers as he can with NYTPA, not to mention running the pros, and the supers i believe in Canada, although im not sure on the details of these pulls, i just remember chatting with him one time and he was headed to canada to pull one weekend instead of running with atpa. Hes a good asset to tractor pulling, he brings a tractor to run it for all its worth, if it goes back broke he brings a different one next week and puts on another grade a show. Not many people out there like gayten.
