How do you rate the 2009 NFMS overall?

What suggestions do you have to improve the show if you can see any area’s that need improvments..

I thought the pull was in the B category until the finals. I thought the sled setting in the Mod and Alcohol super class were both off. We were sitting there in disbelief when they didn’t reset the sled after Purser’s first run, he could have taken the sled back to Oklahoma with him if he wanted. I wasn’t the least bit surprised to see every mod easily go out the end.

I know people think a C is a bad grade but a C is average, and I thought the show was good this year but it was not exceptional. It was not great, nor was it poor. When I got home my wife asked me what I thought, I said good… well average. So I’d really say maybe a +C or a –B.

My other suggestion is the same one I’ve made for a few years now: bring back the LSS at 6500-7000 lbs. and bring some much needed color back to the show. Its new tractors, new drivers, colorful, and it’s diesel vs. alcohol!

Side Note: We are no longer accepting PayPal donations. They have changed their terms of service and stated they would fine PayPal users for spreading "misinformation" and "hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory". PayPal did not provide definitions for some of these vague terms. Woke corporate policies regarding "misinformation" could result in an automatic fine of $2,500 which would have been removed directly from the customer’s PayPal account. PayPal did backdown from some of their policies but quietly implemented portions of them in later terms of service. A financial institute has no right to monitor social media accounts or speech. This is unacceptable and I'll no longer do business with PayPal.

I take it the smoke tube was a non issue this year, as it should have been in past years!

The tube did not break one time.I dont think it did last year the best I remember. The year before it broke about every other tractor.I was told they had a issue with a shaft with a key missing and the fan was freewheeling and not sucking the smoke out fast enough to keep the heat down. That equals a melt down.

The smoke tube did not break during a class, but there were a few tube repairs this year. The Farm Show has a very good schedule which allows repairs in between classes. The were a couple of occasion that I notice some tube repair going on during an alcohol class just after the first diesel class had finished, but they seemed to be minor repairs. Thankfully not a single repair affected the show in any way.
