ALLIS D21 ENGINE August 29, 2019 12:18AM
I got D21 with 670i engine that was built years ago by a builder whos no longer available, its stock stroke but has 4.625 bore... 504cubic inch... I cant figure out what they used for sleeve and pistons.. and did they use allis rods and bore out for a larger wrist pin?? unfortunately its been years tore apart and I don't have old rods or pistons just a couple sleeves... any thoughts?? thanks..

wrist pins larger on case pistons... I assume machine allis rods out to fit is ok?

where can I find hardened 426 rods machined out to fit case pistons? believe that's a 1.80 pin size..

For pistons get them made from Diamond racing products they will help design and make custom pistons. There phone number is 5867926620 and I think I was talking to Evan when I ordered mine. Nowadays piston bowl design is very important including depth radius and diameter. A good thing to do is to talk to either Mark or your dyno guy that u will be using after you get your motor together. Dyno guys usually have a design that will work good for whatever class you are going for. Good Luck with your build

2290 & 2294 Case pistons use a 1-5/8" wrist pin.

At 670i engine will have the big pin rods in it. 1.75” wrist pins. Just get a set of pistons made if you have to. Mark Gettinger probably has rods and can help with anything else +1 (765) 977-8348
