Rack n pinion vs helm pump steering April 17, 2014 02:24PM
Read on here recently of guys using the helm pump to run their hydro. Steering. I didn't realize that the posts were a couple of years old. Just wondering how they are working. I recently bought a front end that already has a cylinder mounted. I was thinking of changing it over to rack and pinion but don't know now. I am putting it on a 7500 pound limited turbo. What do you think?

Good question ! I'm curious since it's been a while since guys have started using this setup. Any positives or negative feedback? Any helpful hints ?? Thanks !

If you have plenty of room for steering rod go with rack, if not go with helm
