Deere exhaust manifold May 25, 2014 04:40PM
I am looking at exhaust manifolds under 4430 sheet metal and want some suggestions on them I have seen some 7720 combine 7810 tractor and was told 7820 was the best does anyone have experience with these.

Ive always heard a 55 series. But I know that some manifolds are in the normal position for center feed intake and some had the turbo flange clear up front at front of engine, I guess it depends on how big of a turbo you are going to run.

Ive got a center flange one with the t4 foot for the 3lm 466 but not sure how well its going to fit under the hood of a 4230.I may have to find a wedge style adapter to put in there to tilt turbo towards engine rather than out towards hood.

It you use a 7810 and use a l inch spacer it will fit under the hood. I'm also using a set of billet rockers with the 8.1 valve cover. Yes it fits under a 4020 stock hood. I'm running a 3 inch charger.

where did you get your spacer, is it pie/wedge shaped to tilt turbo inward towards engine? I think my front half of the manifold is for like a 4455.

A 7810 manifold tilts toward the center
It's just a 1" spacer. Not a wedge.

I was just curious why u use a 1in spacer on that manifold. I run that manifold now an looks like a spacer would just use up more hood room. There sure ain t much under room under hood on most deere s
