Engine stand December 07, 2014 08:05AM
I was wondering what is the best engine stand to buy. I'm sick of hanging upside down to work on my motor; it's a pain to put the girdle back in. Also, do you know the ball park figure its going to cost?

Thanks,
Randy

Otc 1750A is a good one for around $ 4500 on ebay , will handle up to 6000 lbs. there may also be others too, that I haven't heard about.

Cheapest route would be build your own. Twister makes a real nice stand and mounts for all popular diesel blocks. Price is in the 2k range. I built mine similar to the twister. Google twister engine stands.

I just built mine similar to a twister with a few changes. I used a gearbox from an international manure spreader.
