12 mm wimer a pump ? December 02, 2015 11:31PM
Needing a little input before I spend a bunch of money The guy tells me the pump Runs excellent but is getting fuel in the oil and needs the oil changed about every three passes . just curious if somebody could tell me what could be wrong with it and would it be pricey to get it fixed

I change the oil after every run just to be safe.

Barrels around plungers could be cracked. And yes it is pricey to fix.

most a-pumps dilute oil in the pump with fuel some more then others some people change oil after every run

I run a Wimer 12mm A pump, and typically I change the oil every other pass. I've gone a little longer without a problem, but it does dilute a fair bit. Jim told me that's just what to expect with these pumps. He also said his 12mm A pumps dilute more than the 14mm do.

What if you get nothing out of your overflow plug even after 6 or 8 runs, How often should I be changing oil. [A pump set on 675cc].

When I ran my 13MM Scheid, I was getting no fuel in the oil and I changed that every 4 runs.

At the end of the day, oil is cheaper than a pump...
