White with 8.3 Cummins October 17, 2016 06:01AM
My wife wants to build a tractor to run SCWTP altered farm. I currently run an IH 1066 in this class. She wants a white. I was thinking an 8.3 Cummins? What transmission and reared would be the best to start with? Who should I talk to about building the 8.3? Thank you for the advice.

I would get a hold of Terry Foss I heard that he is very good with white tractors heck might even have a tractor around his place he would sell you cheap that is all set up

y dont you just throw the front half of the 66 away and bolt the 8.3 to the back half and tin it a white!!!! then you could have the best of both worlds!!

Cody Adgent with the Lemonator LLSS has the 2-70 rearend with the 8.3L. Eddie Kerr is helpful with the 8.3L and 8.9L 931-224-170 zero. No Limit Mfg can help with Engine components. Many say to start with the 2-105 rearend. It has the 4 spider gear differential. Ron Perry of Ron's Garage and Machine in Flora Indiana is your driveline expert. The 8.3L's are nice becuse they're plentiful and cheap, but the 8.9L's are far superior.

I believe Kevin Engelking's New Limited pro(or could be light pro(I'm not sure)) white 125 is a 8.3 cummins. He also runs a dyno service. Probably a good guy to talk to.

There a guy in KY that runs really strong in hot farm.

I would call Kevin Engelking. He knows his White/Olivers pretty well.

Your rules say the Whites have to run rotary's, but most of the 8.3 White's had A pumps. I would look into that. There's many rear end/chassis that could work, but the determining factor is what chassis they want to see for that engine. I would give Nick Pickerell a call. He runs one of the most impressive 3000 rpm 8.3's I've seen, and they do mostly all their own engine work.

Hi , looking for larger injectors for an 8.3 ( white 160) I'm been going to a local fair pull, and need a little more power. thanks

Re: White with 8.3 Cummins April 20, 2018 10:34AM
About your injectors. I pull a 2-135 heavy farm stock with a Hercules engine. I bought a separate set of injectors from a parts distributor. I sent them to Scheid diesel and they set them up for my application. So when I farm I still have stock injectors. When I pull I put in my Scheid injectors. I also put on a hotter turbo, and run a booster fuel pump to pressurize the system. I average top 5 with the tractor. It is the most competitive white in my area. I hope this might help you.

Was wondering how you are doing on the project? I heard that you sold your 1066 hope this means the white will be out running this summer.
