Will a 4020 clutch housing bolt up to a 4630 rear end? January 16, 2017 10:46AM
Wanting to build a cheap chassis for a "Hot Farm" class. found a 4630 quad for 5k. have strong 466/ 3 disc clutch currently in a 4010 . So, I would like to transplant that into a chassis . (put a 3spd behind it) any thoughts? motor/frame/rear end/front axle all have to match model is the problem... (I'd throw 4450 nose/ decals on it..
Or if someone had a rolling chassis they'd sell...

Put a three speed in your 4010 rear end. I ran a Super farm for many years with that rear end. I knew a few guys that ran a 4010 rear end in Super Stock [ Country Dear ] and Pro stock [ Scoundrel ].

which class do you plan to run? I think if running open speed you would be way better off putting the 5 grand into a 3 speed transmission for the 4010 also, lots of people supplying those transmission parts.
