We had one that was right at 5500 with 18's on it. I believe you ended up with the frame and front end from that tractor Mr. Backer.

I built my own frame and Pobar built the axle and steering under that particular tractor. Yes it had 18.4 x 38 on pressed steel

What's the difference in a built IH transmission and a atlasmax/profab in means of what they weight

JT what class are you planning to run if its somethin like a light hot farm we have you will save a lot of money and time by using a 560 the more mveable weight you have the better off you are with a 706 I'm sure K backer will say you have a lot of work to do and better not be a big healthy guy

hahahhaahahahaah well I DO have a headstart on allot of guys cuz I'm about 150lbs LOL Yes its not a piece of cake BUT if you want to it can be done. Mine was a 706 rear and trans 3 bar chromoly cage by Pobar as well as tie bars and tip bars. Cage was on a "hoop" instead of a plate Binderlite sheetmetal and lots of little tings like that to keep the weight down Use aluminum where you can Foam the rearend and limit oil capacity (you arent plowing with it) There is lots that I'm prop skipping over but if I was in the shop looking at one I could tell you more

I know of a few that are running a cast rear housing from a 706 (drilled out for weight) tube chassis 400 series blocks at 6000 pounds. I was at a shop today where they are building a 706 rear the same way but a 360 and are going to make it to pull 5000 pounds
