IH heads: 312/360 January 18, 2017 05:42AM
Does anyone know for sure if the D-312 and D-360 ag engines have the exact same heads? I'm rebuilding a 360 but have a 312 head already gone through (stock), but don't want to lose power in the process. And while I'm asking, would some port/polish work gain much in a non-turbo farm tractor that may see the track once or twice a year?

If there is any difference it will be the valve size since you have both just check them other than that they would be the same on the port job I would just leave it alone if you want some power and still use it just put a hx 35 or 40 off a dodge truck on it

Case/ih parts site shows the heads are the same. Valves are the same part number too

Would a dt360 head off of a truck engine work, what's the differences?
