How much horsepower will a 4430 D range transmission take? Specifically D3. Thanks.

Trust me if your transmission is stock and your over 200-250 HP it won"t last long. Been there done that.

The transmission it self will hold good power 700-800 hp but you have to weld the big gear (D) on the counter shaft (only press fit and a key hold it). This only depends on how you put the power to the ground (clay track, sandy track etc.). The 2 speed and clutch won't hold up to that hp unless you do some work to it. Staying in one speed helps but if use it only shift down

So Jeff your saying in general a 4430 quad transmission will hold that much power through out. I was wondering same question as original poster is only in B-C range mostly
