Mike,
I would be interested in a simillar set up (lever) either on the cage or up through the floor. Can you keep me in the loop as well?

you can make your own very easily. i mounted two pillow blocks on the top of my transmission housing with a 3/4" shaft. In the middle of the shaft i welded a mount for the shifter handle. On the right side i welded an arm on it and attached an adjustable rod i made to go from the factory shifter arm to the arm i welded on the 3/4" shaft. I also used the top factory shifter arm because it was easier to adapt the adjustable rod too. I used low sitting pillow blocks so it was easier to build the deck plate over. Hope this helps some.

Thanks for the Idea
I am doing this on dads tractor moving it from the dash to the floor for easier access
I can always copy what I have on mine but I thought it would be good to see what others are doing
Thanks for the comments and I will share what I come up with

We just made a pivot off the base of the roll cage. Has the lever going up beside the seat, with a tab at the base where it pivots at 90 degree angle from the lever with a hole to fit the factory linkage down to the transmission,

Mike, I built my own and it pretty simple. Three speed GMS tranny in 4010 case that is shifted on bottom shaft. I used a shift arm from a 4030 transmission to throw arm out away from side transmission case. This would allow control rod to come straight up off shift arm to inside of cage where I used a flat iron/ clutch lever from an old 105 combine (Lever could be made out of aluminum). Lever pivots off back corner of cage. Shift control rod connects to lever about two thirds the distance from pivot point. Lever move straight up and down. I also fabricated a aluminum shift gate that positions flat iron lever in gates/slots so there is no question what gear it is in and if it is in gear! Gate also contains neutral start switch that lever actuates when in NEUTRAL. The other thing I had to do is make a stop for the 4030 shift arm or it would allow too much travel of arm/shift cam and park spring on shift cam would come out of place. Stop bracket was also used for more micro switches that controls back-up, Neutral and Park lights on back of tractor. It took a little tweaking to get it all in adjustment but once adjusted I have had no problems with shifting/function of transmission or NEUTRAL start/light signals. If you are in Eastern Iowa come take a look. Tractor pulls with ECI known as the Double 00 Buck. DW

This would be a nice option......but I'm having trouble understanding how it works. Any chance you can snap a couple pics of what this thing looks like? I'm more of a visual person. If Slama has them, I would like to get hold of him, got conatct info?

I'm working on putting shift kits together right now for 4010/4020 with a 3 speed. It includes the arm on the shift shaft, the linkage and billet aluminum handle. I'll get some pics up soon. Thanks, Mark

Mark,
Saw your photos, product looks great. How tall are the supports that hold the cross shaft? Just curious if they'll fit under the floor pan and cage lip. Thanks again
Mike
