advice needed for 13mm p pump 7100 January 15, 2018 11:56AM
Hello, I have been running a 13mm p3000 pump wanted to upgrade to 13mm p7100 pump going on a IH open rpm 3x3 hot farm. Wanted to see if hp numbers are about the same as like Harts, FVP, Columbus, Wimer. Any input would be great. Thanks

There is no advantage from a 13mm p3000 compared to a p7100 as far as hp is concerned.
Yes the p7100 has better bearings and bigger cam but both pumps cams can be ground to suit the needs.
Most all shops have their own profile they use on the cams.

Thanks for the input guys. Do you guys think that a harts 13mm 7100 p pump will out perform a FVP 13mm 7100 p pump. That's the two places Im leaning towards

we've been looking at a 16mm p 7100 and from what we've learned hart is way to go for fuel may be different on smaller pump but thats my $.02

I will take nothing away from Hart's or FVP, they are both very reputable companies in the business. However Columbus Motor Sports are serious players as well. They have many championship tractors out there pulling all over the country for many years. They are in Cloverdale at the NTPA event this weekend. I recommend stopping in and talking to those guys. If you cannot make it there. You can call them on Monday at their Columbus Ohio Location at Columbus Diesel Supply, ask for Dan. Good luck with your search for a pump. If you looking for a 13mm go with fvp they don’t offer a 14mm so they have made a much larger investment in getting everything possible out of a 13mm

Try scheid diesel believe they had a pump on shelf on display at Cloverdale this weekend. 3 locations so you can always get ahold of em
