How many gallons does your pan hold? That's more important than the weight. COO for OTTPA www.outlawpulling.com www.truck-specialties.com Schaeffer Oil Representative [www.schaefferoil.com] |

Not sure what class you're running but, more oil = bigger heat sink.
We have a pan that can hold 10 but run about 8 or so. Also check your oil's viscosity index on it's TD sheet. The higher that number the better the oil viscosity stays consistent through all temperatures. An oil with a lower viscosity index will tend to thin out more as the temp rises compared to an oil with a higher visc index #. A good number is 140+ COO for OTTPA www.outlawpulling.com www.truck-specialties.com Schaeffer Oil Representative [www.schaefferoil.com] |

Adam,
Is Shaeffer's 50w good for the application 6 gallon dry block SuperFarm? We recently switched to Shaeffer's 50w seems like good oil. Andy Keyes |
