Some folks use a Calc-an-Acre unit with a Dickey-John Radar, others use a digital bike speedometer with a wheel/tire assembly mounted near one of the rear tires. The bicycle speedometers are pretty inexpensive in comparison to a radar-based unit. Bryan Lively - |

It will work outdoors, but will likely not work n a building.
