Glenford Ohio pulls runs a 2 hot 2 farm class. Just pulled this past weekend. I think an Oliver may have won it.

I seen the rules for Glenford they are close but not the same, why would you make rules up that are not the same to a neighboring state?
Why did the class get delete

Re: Too hot to farm Glenford June 16, 2019 10:38AM
It’s no longer on the schedule because they only had 4 tractors showing up to run the class. And that’s if all of them were there. 2 of them, technically, didn’t meet the rules anyway because they had inline pumps instead of a rotary pump.

Just a case of not enough equipment.

Greetings guys, not sure which pull you are talking about? Glenford or the other pull in Pa.
Just letting you all know that Glenford is definitely still having the 9500 too hot to farm class. Next pull should have a better turnout with it being out of the major planting season, also many tractors from what I understand, were not quite ready. So we are optimistic about a much better turnout next pull on July 13th. Also they will be having the 6500 open class again as well as 12500, and 14500, 3000 rpm classes. We welcome anyone who can make it to come out and compete within the rules posted as listed on the glenford pulls website and or Facebook page. Congrats to the last events winners, and good luck to all who come out to compete in the remaining pulls. Hope to see a good turnout of iron! Best wishes rw
Just fyi an Oliver with a Cummins power plant won the 9500 in case anyone was wondering what kind of iron was on top in the 95. Good luck all.
rw

The real reason the class was dropped was because Full Pull was expecting the competitors in the Too Hot to Farm class to jump up to the Hot Farm class eventually being that the Hot Farm class numbers have been dwindling. However no one wanted to jump up and some of their Hot Farm tractors were starting to contemplate dropping down to the Too Hot to Farm class and they didn't want that to happen. We also had tractors coming and were told we had 3 years to get it off the ground. However after the first year some rules were changed without the class being notified and they also did not notify the class that you had to be a member to run for points in year two, so no one signed up as a member. This hurt the class as Full Pull sells the classes to the fairs based off their membership numbers in each class. This lack of transparency to the pullers began to scare some of the competitors who were building tractors, so they were waiting another year or so to see if Full Pull was going to pull the rug out from under the class which they did. Fortunately several other organizations in Western PA has picked up the class as mentioned above. Also the only two tractors running in lines are allowed to do so as they came from the factory with those pumps. Everyone else was running either rotaries or sims pumps.
