Really, only 4? That's the whole class?
What happened to Shoobridge and his apparent caravan of pulling buddies?
Where are Jennings and Anderson from? They both alky?
What is Jennings tractor make?
Have LLSS Shedden results?

Re: LLSS Results from Canada June 18, 2019 05:08AM
Ya that was it......no idea what happened in Shedden. Larry Wright's Case was the lone diesel. Yes, Jennings is an alky (Allis/Cummins?). Anderson was an alky as well, he was driving a Rydahl tractor by the looks of it.

Ed worked his ass off for that promotion and, like most guys who try to, wound up with not much beyond clowns lining up to knock him like you and a lighter wallet. He's happily backing the 2 Canadian events and the home hooks at Armada, but otherwise enjoying his well-deserved retirement.

It was good while it lasted, but the usual provincialism that tends to wreck everything with this sport won out.

Due to the weather some had to support their lively hood and stay home to plant, some are still waiting for parts. Me, sold my tractor due to physical limitations over the last three years.

Ed, we had planned on coming but i had a rod decide it wasn't happy where it was at and decided it wanted some fresh air !!! In the process of rebuilding, hopefully next year !!!

There's always next year for Canada. Maybe you will consider Armada in August?

We were there last year, had an awesome time, would love to come back, we'll see how its going in August.

"cpr", I am very aware of what Ed Shoobridge has done to bring the overall LLSS to the level and recognition it has today. I did not knock him. I asked a legitmate question. It was based upon his statement in the thread topic that was at the top of this page for a few weeks. I assumed from it that Ed had lined up and/or knew of several coming and thus he graciously offered his place as a gathering point before heading across the border. I was not aware that Ed had sold his 460.

Ed, thanks for your response. Thank you for all the effort and time you invested the past few years to further the LLSS class!!

Re: LLSS Results from Canada June 20, 2019 12:08AM
Actually there were 9 tractors that committed for that week end. The heavy rains has a negative effect on crop production and if your conditions were right you might want to stay home and plant. Two of the tractors are still waiting for parts and the parts were promised way before the pull, (you know how that goes}. Shedden had the same 4 tractors and the results are: 1st at 333.57' Larry Wright case 1170 diesel. 2nd at 328.44' Todd Anderson Cockshutt 40 alky. 3rd at 326.90' Mike Jennings Allis 185 alky. 4th at 318.69' Chris Rydall cockshutt 570 alky. The 570 was the test puller and had too much front weight, other than that was pretty close.

That's fair. I reckon I took exception to the specific phrase of "apparent caravan of pulling buddies." It implied and/or implicated an aspersion I didn't care for. If I am biased, so be it. I find Ed's efforts beyond reproach and will defend him without his asking. Just where I sit.
