4.1 turbo 640 cubes

With the East Coast pulling organization any idea if they have given any thought on about letting the 4.1 640 run with the 540 p-pump and any single turbo size. It would seem like the two classes would be pretty much equal and would work out really good. Thank you |

It works for the OSTPA and puts on a good show! |

Same in Indiana with IPL.
But remember, NTPA Light PS is not any size single turbo. Those tractors usually compose the combo Light & Limited PS class. |

NTPA Light and Limited Pros are limited to a 4.1 turbo |

Right rear tire, I believe that you are wrong on the NTPA light pro's. They are allowed any size compressor wheel with a g trim exhaust. The Limited pros are limited to a 4.1 inlet. Just saying. |

That what I thought it was but I thought maybe they were talking about the 640 4.1 |

Light pros are limited to 540 cubic inches as well as unlimited inducer wheel and g trim exhaust |

No, NTPA Light Pros got rules changed for 2019. 4.5 charger is max size
edit: 4.5 not 4.1 [www.pulloff.com] Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/13/2019 12:07AM by theRightRearTire183. |

^^^ This is correct. BTW, G-trim is 4.365 out of the exducer, not 4.5. CP |

Agree to some extent
|
4.5 on the exhaust side. Unlimited on air side? |

The 640 4.1s will not hang with the 540s unlimited chargers. 540s are making up to 3000 hp. |

As a sled operator, I've never personally hooked the combined class. But I have to think the 4.1's have a bit of an advantage with their weight & torque. Light pro's will get up & fly on a good track but sort of jump out of the ground on the big end where a 4.1 can run just as fast but will lug & tug better than the light pro's. Just my $.02 worth.... |

Logan wasnt you the sled operator at the ostpa pull at the muskingum raceway pull in the spring. You hooked the OSTPA 9000 light/limited pro stock combo class there. As for the original question combining those 2 classes works out great, in OSTPA it is very split on winners. The lights that run it all the time like to complain alot saying it's not fair but anytime a good light comes they compete very well and alot of the time beat any of the limiteds. |

Just saying
|
The Muskingum speedway pull had 2 light pros in the 1 and 2 spots. If it would have been a good track there would have been even more light pros at the top and the distance spread would have been even greater! 640s wont hang with the top of the class Light pro tractors. Just a fact. |

TOP. GUN

Out west not many light pros yet, ones I've seen are built right and pulled against and didn't show any more than 4.1's, but they are in the early stages out west, Darin |

Top gun?

The 4.1’s out west don’t want anything to do with the light pro’s out west, just ask them |

They dont want anything to do with Eastern region NTPA Lps either. Especially Region 2. |
