Rotating engine stand December 02, 2019 09:43AM
Looking for a reasonable rotating engine stand. Remember seeing an ad somewhere. Any help would be great. Would entertain a decent used one too. 9209885904

Just put my twister to work a few weeks ago. What a nice piece of equipment! Using it for a 6.7L Cummins, like it's not even there. I picked it up at Gordyville last Jan. It seems to me like it's a 2/3 scale OTC Revolver, but doesn't take up near the space. I only work on medium sized diesels, not big rig stuff like 855, 3406 etc. I'm sure it would handle an L10 or 3306. I'll be getting more plates at Gordy this year as well.

If you can weld, making your own isn't hard. I'm in the process of building one out of a combine final drive now.

That's my homeade one. International manure spreader gearbox. Works well.

I used a 90 degree gearbox from a AC chopper, It is larger than Roberts but works nicely I too just have a slip fit pipe pivot with no bearing, two grease fittings and it turns and holds position.

Use a wheel gearbox for a Zimmatic pivot, 50:1 ratio, works good.
