Why didn’t more of them pull at gordyville?

Torn apart, waiting on parts, still being built, or not a low enough gear lol

I was the only 6850 pro farm that went to Gordyville with the Student Loans tractor. Pretty much everyone was tore apart or didn't want to fight the weather on an open trailer. The rules were changed this year in an attempt to get us a little more competitive but running against intercooler tractors from Missouri with an unlimited turbo is difficult regardless of how many RPMs we get. Also gearing is tough. To compete with those guys we almost have to run our tall summer gears but it almost impossible to get it lit in that gear up at Gordyville without an intercooler. In no way is any of this Klints fault, he puts on a great show and does a good job trying to get us even, and we are happy to have a class to pull in up there.

Missouri guys cannot run an unlimited turbo at that low of an RPM. The low rpm limit on 360 cubic inch is what keeps everyone regulated. If we had a 2.6 rule in our class we would end up being another $6000 for a turbo diesel truck class. That being said...my 4.1 charger on my 5.9 did not work at gordyville lol

Just to clarify, I was merely saying you had no turbo restrictions and could run whatever you could swing with 360 cubes and 3200 rpms

Do ITPA get more weigh?

Re: ITPA 6850 pro field January 27, 2020 08:51AM
I believe 6700 lbs

Re: ITPA 6850 pro field January 27, 2020 09:03AM
Missouri tractors allowed 3200 rpm, no turbo limit, intercooler, 6500 lbs, 360 cubes
Itpa tractors 3500 rpm ,2.6 smoothbore turbo with water, 6700 lbs, 380 cubes
KTpa tractors had some cubic inch breaks for rpm but no water inj or cooler and box 3lm charger I believe.

Intercooler a big deal......

Yep, our Massey is apart. Just doing some off season work!

And yeah, my dad isn't too keen on dragging Big Chief down the salty roads with an open trailer. Guess we'll have to get someone to pick us up next year!

Thats why you need a big enclosed trailer for big chief and student loans to hang out in!
