7.6 engine in a 4320
|
Was going to try to put a 7.6 engine into a stock 4320 and still make it a farm use tractor... has anyone ever done one, what should I watch out for? Is there any frame rails that will bolt right on without modification? Thanks |

You will have to use your frame rails. Your easiest swap would be to use an early 6466 like out of a 66 or 7720 combine because you will still be able to use your mechanical tach. the balancer will work and you will be able to use your water pump so the fan will still work in your shroud and the hydraulic pump drive will fit. If you use a 7.6 it has a gear drive water pump and wont allow enough room for the engine fan and dosen't have a place to put the tach in you would have to put an electric tach on. And an electric fan which won't keep it cool enough. Good luck. It's not impossible to put the newer engine in it will just take a little more time and parts |

Or an engine out of a 4440/4640 tractor but won’t have the good head.if you went 55 series you would have to modify your frame rails to the block bolt holes. |
