Open Farm

When can we expect rules? The pull is just over two weeks away, if changes are needed to pull it'd be nice to know what those are gonna be. |

So are we going to get some rules for the 10,500 and 12,500 turbo classes? Hot farm/Pro farm weights? 2 hot 2 farm rules? |

I have talked with the guy putting this on. He's not making any rules for his buddies. It's a new venue, owns a excavating business , track had to be built , so give the guy some slack. |

The way I see it is this, he is putting on a pull for us all to come and get a chance to pull our tractors in a year that many if not all pulls are cancelled. So if you have a tractor that runs a too hot to farm class, like will be in freeport this sat, bring it to byron. The farm stock 8 mph is for out of the field type tractors. If few show up, he will open it up to hotter tractors that can run an 8mph speed limit. The 14 mph is for the hotter farm stocks running around the tri state area. The open is just an open speed limit farm stock, I'm not sure he is intending it to be a fully open farm, but you'd have to ask Mark about that. Mark is trying to make this into an annual event, that would be sanctioned with ISP or ?? so lets try to support a new pull in the northern IL region. |

That's the point. If we can't pull there but the buddy system can then what good is it? Why are rules the last thing done unless you're trying to keep specific people out. |

I never saw anything excluding any models of tractors actually. If you question whether you can run, call and talk to Mark, he will answer any questions about what the insurance will allow. |

I talked to him. He said I can pull with you, Ed. Something about he just wanted to see a 6030 go against an orange one. Jk... he definitely didn't say that. |

He told me to bring Yellow for the open classes... I'm happy to make the trip back and support the event if it's open speed / open turbo like the flyer implies (open farm). I'd even throw it in the pro farm class just for fun if safety/insurance allows.

From the time the first garden tractor hooked, until the last tractor pulled, was 10 hours & 57 minutes of literally non stop action. I have been doing pulling photos since 1973 and this is by far the longest session I have ever done.
The Kelsey Excavating team did a great job of crafting a double clay pulling track with a super long runoff area, recently out of a hilltop pasture. The new facility has a great potential for various motorsports events. Tractor entries were respectable with a lot of great looking & performing units. The track took power and was easy to maintain. I do have the tractor & 4x4 truck pull results. I do not have the garden tractor & truck drag race results. Once my new computer and photo upload program is ready, these photos, along with 10 other pulling events (most are big entry events) will be posted to my website. |

And that's how you ban the 700A (and PSR) Literally.
Per your message the other day, I thought we were good to come North. I'll be at Lewistown instead. |
