12th Annual Smoke on the Hill Tractor Pull September 12 at 5PM August 24, 2020 02:17AM
We will be hosting the 12th Annual Smoke on the Hill Tractor Pull at Ogilvie Raceway on Saturday September 12, 2020. The pull will start at 5 pm, pit gates will be open at noon, registration must be completed by 4 pm. Please be on time and get registered so we can start the pull on time.

There are a few changes for this year. We will be including the UPM group as usual but it will be a non-sanctioned event. The UPM registration, tech, and rules will apply to those classes. We did drop the 7000 open, it just hasn't been supported enough to keep it. With that being said, here is the class list.

Stock Diesel Pickups
12000 Improved Farm
16500 Improved Farm
12000 Hot Farm 2.8 limit
10000 Hobby/Profarm
9500 Open/Modified

UPM Classes

SSFWD
Super Farm
Profarm
Limited Pro

If there are any light pro stock tractors looking for a place to pull, please call Brandon at 651-248-2638

With the Covid-19 situation seating in the grandstand will be somewhat limited. We will be working hard to get everyone that wants to watch a place to sit. Please call with any questions you might have. We will probably open up our trackside parking so if you'd like to reserve a spot call me right away.

Any other questions or concerns, please call Nate at 763-267-4572

What are the rules for the 7000 class
Would a 7000 hot farm be typical tractor
Thanks

Re: 12th Annual Smoke on the Hill Tractor Pull September 12 at 5PM August 27, 2020 12:01PM
The rules are basically for safety equipment. We prefer the vehicle has a cage, air and fuel shutoffs, clutch blanket, wheelie bars, etc. Would like the driver to have a fire suit and helmet. Otherwise, as long as you weigh 7000 your good.

Brandon, thanks for adding or reinstating the 7000 pound class for your pull. I've talked to owners, and they assure me there will be at least 7 tractors there. Thanks again!

I didn't have much to do with it. Nate was the guy that needed convincing. It will be good to see a full class! See you on the 12th.

$1000 To Win, $4000 purse in the 4.1 Class September 05, 2020 03:20AM
We are putting up a $1000 for the winner of the UPM 4.1 Limited Pro class. If we can get 15 tractors there will be a $750 2nd place and we will add another spot on the on the bottom for a total of 10 spots paid!
Tractors must pass UPM tech to be able to compete for the purse. If we don't get the 15 tractors, the $750 is gone but we will rearrange the payouts and pay back 10 spots. Hope to see you in a week!

Any questions call Nate at 763-267-4572

There has been some questions on the sled. It will be J & J Motorsports Equalizer.

Rules for the 12,000 improved? Thanks!

Improved Farm Rules September 06, 2020 11:27AM
Stock appearing pump and turbo. Must have factory manifolds and crossover pipe on the turbo. All general rules apply, 20 inch drawbar, driver must remain seated, etc, etc. Anything specific just ask.

Re: Improved Farm Rules September 06, 2020 11:30AM
Brandon, do you have any idea of the pulling order yet? Thanks.

Re: Improved Farm Rules September 06, 2020 11:53AM
Not really. Here's a rough idea -

7000 Open
Stock Diesel PU
12000 Improved Farm
16500 Improved Farm
UPM
12000 Hot Farm
10000 Pro Farm
9500 Open

Hope to have something for sure by mid week.

Sorry about that. I guess there was a problem with the link last night. We are working to fix the issue right now. You should be able to purchase them soon.

Re: Tickets On Sale Now September 11, 2020 01:35PM
Nate, whats the weather looking like over there at the track? Here in Sauk Centre, its been raining since dark. My radar looks like it might miss the track over there. Hoping so!

Re: Tickets On Sale Now September 11, 2020 02:41PM
Dry so far. Crossing our fingers.

Re: Tickets On Sale Now September 12, 2020 02:23AM
Brandon how are things looking now? thanks

Re: Tickets On Sale Now September 12, 2020 02:47AM
We got some rain last night. The track is in decent shape but we need some sun soon.

PULL IS CANCELED September 12, 2020 03:06AM
I hate to share the news but we are not able to have the pull today. We got a little rain last night but the cloud cover just won't break to dry off the track or even allow us to get the equipment there to make it happen. Thank you to everyone that was planning to attend, it could have been a hell of a show! Hopefully we can see you all in 2021!

Nate
