Shawn Thornhill won by 1 foot over Mike Eckles (sp?) 31 entries. Track was consistent from start to finish, had Light Pros from North Carolina to Iowa.
19 supers, from memory John Strickland 337', Brent Payne 325'. Jeff Hothem 324', Kent Payne 321', Neil Gettinger 303'. Great lineup of diesel vs alky, unfortunately Burge broke, Beck had issues, Pfeiffermax didn't perform like it can, and I believe the Hildebrand JD from PA was there but scratched. Lustik got front end scary high, too light, former BG winner Cash in the Trash didn't get far off the line. Huge crowd, great job by Lynn Lions Club. For $5 admission to see Grand National-caliber iron, definitely got money's worth. |
