Case 1070 farmstock tips September 13, 2020 02:06AM
I have a 1070 with a stock 504. Good 11 mm A pump. S360 turbo. 2850 rpm. Need some tips to make it better. Head work? Cam? Its timed at 34 right now. Any help is appreciated.

I ran a very close setup for a couple years and yes your right Head work is a must on those old cases the flow kinda sucked the later heads were a little better also in my experience a stock cam worked the best at those RPMs your running i tried a couple other cams with worse performance if your allowed water injection that helped a lot on mine as well .

What is the engine originally out of? What are you running for injectors and lines? Some may argue that a cam will help provided it is a good grind to match your engine. Just clean the ports up, don’t make em bigger. What’s your egts at and where is the probe installed? Double disk clutch is a must as well.

Just clean up the ports and spend the money on injectors and turbo
