Gt42 September 16, 2020 02:30PM
Hi I was wondering if someone could steer me in the correct direction, I have a 5.9 12 valve motor mechanic pump 800 cc fuel, I have a 3x3 Precision turbo, what size exhaust housing should I run 1.28 or tighter on this? I am hoping to run down the track at 5000 plus rpm. No intercooler but have water injection. Thanks

I was wondering the same thing? Has anyone ever ran a 3x3 Gt42 style turbo on a 5.9 Cummins?

If you're going to try and run those RPMs I would start with the 128 my guess is you won't need anything less than a 115

101 housing. Maybe a 98. I would think 115 might be to big. Definitely not a 128

How is your exhaust pressure???

We ran a GT42 on a 5.9 cummins but were only allowed to run 3000RPM. Had a Harts 100 housing on it running 60lbs of boost.
