Water cooler for newbie September 20, 2020 02:39AM
I’m planning to put a p2000 or similar cooler on a 466 open rpm hx60 3.15x3.4 . Rule submersible pump seems popular model. Should I go with 1 or 2 pump? 2000, 3700 or bigger gph? And how many pounds of ice should I figure melt? Thanks

One pump per core. Rule pumps are fine. The bigger the better. 40# is a good place to start. Hopefully that’s helpful for you.

Very helpful! Do you start both pump before take off? Or one before take off and the other one at the same time as the water injection?

Thanks

Turn them on when you get green flag will be fine.

On our old 466 profarm we used to melt about 80 pounds of ice per pass.
