New puller

Hey guys building a new IH 466 3000 rpm should be right around 850 hp I’ve heard a lot of guys using the CAT head bolts but also know a few guys using head studs is there any advantage to head studs over bolts I know studs are more money but if there’s a lot of advantage to them I’d rather do it once and not have to worry thanks for the info |

Agreed with dairy blend. If you end up deciding you have to have something else go with studs. Extreme studs is an economic alternative if you go that route |

We make and sell custom studs for engine builders. At 3000RPM and 850 HP, stock bolts are plenty good. Just do a retorque after warming it up.
