Does and Ambac M100 pump run at crankshaft RPM or at camshaft RPM? |

most people don't know that these pumps have a good rate of injection. because cam is turning crank speed, hence one reason for good power from stock pumps |

Curious / why would it be turned at same speed as crank/ and then have to cut its RPM in half to match the 4 stroke engine? |

It has to do with the design of the pump, the M100 has the PSB pump as it’s predecessor, so there’s some legacy there, a pile of improvements and updates on the M100.
The 6 cylinder pumps have 3 lobes on the cam and the rotor directs fuel to the proper cylinder, it takes two turns on the pump to have all six cylinders fire just like the engine. In order to have 6 lobes on the cam it would need to be larger in diameter and the rotor speed gearing would have to be different. |
