Gordyville 2021 November 15, 2020 05:51AM
Just curious if Gordyville 2021 is still a go! And if so where can I find the details at!

Re: Gordyville 2021 November 15, 2020 06:50AM
Whatssmokin Promotions has rules, drivers list, all the info.

From what I’ve seen here and on Facebook, it’s a go as of now

With that crazy governor in Illinois I don't think there will be any pulling unfortunately

Just a speculation rumor that is going around.

Possibly at the MEC in Shipshewana? That was a rumor that I heard and I would LOVE to see that happen if it can't be held at Gordyville.

Re: Gordyville 2021 November 16, 2020 04:56AM
Jeez, I hope it stays close, I've already sent box seats money, but would not have if I knew it was going to be 4 hours away!

If you have entered and/or sent in money for box seats and don't want to go to the new location. Email Klint at klint@whatssmokin.net.

Is this just temporary for being at MEC for 2021, or is it permanent? I've never been to gordyville, so I just wondered if the facility at MEC is bigger and better, or if it should go back to the other place.

This is a temporary 1-year move due to the restrictions in the state of Illinois, and especially those in Champaign County

As most or a lot of me know who I am I just want to tell a few places you need to go to why you are in shipshewana for the pull.1st place is called rise role it a bakery there also a cheese place to go also a good Amish place to eat at there is 2 of them the 1 is called the Blue gate an were I live at in Middlebury there the Dos. Essenhaus House an both of them are really good you can do family style at both or menu or the Buffay there our 2 bars in Middlebury we have a take out Pizza Hut also.if you stay in goshen or Elkhart there is a lot of places to eat but some of the best places are not the chain places.we do have a party store in Middlebury so If people have some ? Go ahead an get a hold of me on Facebook.

I second the Das Dutchman Essenhaus. Our coach was built at nearby NRC and every time we go up for service or changes we always eat there. We have never been disappointed.

As the virus keeps spreading I don’t think king Biden will allow any pulls

He’s no king and nor will he ever be!

He may not be, -- however the people he associates with and counterparts are sure trying and just might change Life as we know it.In Many Ways. The Pres. doesn't run things, those that put Him in the position do.

C'mon, InjPumpEd, it is time to expand out from your Illinois comforts. Ya know, Indiana is a pretty good place, too. And Shipshewana is a really nice ag & tourist town, with a few excellent motels.

Bring your big orange A-C 7040 over here and show us its prowess. And promote your business. The Amish like seeing all different colors pull, same as the "Englishmen"! This area is the third largest Amish community in the US.

Mr. Hospitality, aka Jamie Qualls, will be glad to give lots of free info to help make your visit even more pleasant and memorable. For even a modest contribution of even one piece of your pulling team apparel, he will gladly be your crew chief.

Sounds like a really good deal InjPumpEd. Don't tarry or somebody else will quickly snatch Jamie up.

Lol! I'm slowly warming up to the idea. It really is only about 100 miles further. The neat thing about Gordyville, is it's essentially in our "back yard" so to speak. Kinda like Rantoul and the Half Century Farm Progress Shows, which I've only been to one of in 17. I am not about to drag a tractor through Chicazzo though lol! My 7040 is more of a fun tractor, that would get it's azz handed to it, the 210 might stand a slightly better chance. I'm kinda lookinig forward to making an few "extra bucks" while in Amish country though, lol!
