Anyone know of any farm stock pulls in Illinois this summer? Around the 12k pound range or higher. |

There are several in the Effingham area over the summer. Both naturally aspirated and turbo classes. |

Be aware they aren't very welcoming to anyone outside their group. |

IL is a big state, post general area, many of us know various groups in different areas of the state. |

Effingham would be a pretty good trip but I would consider it. What do you mean by they aren't very welcoming? |

been there done that

Anyone outside there group wins they will not like you, then when you go back to the next town pull be ready for a complete tractor inspection and maybe a new set of rules for you. |

If you're looking at the northern IL area, several of our ISP pulls have farm stock classes. There is typically a 12.5K Turbo class and occasionally a 14K as well. Sometimes there is a speed limit, sometimes not. We're still finalizing our 2021 schedule, but will be adding event details as they are finalized. www.illinistatepullers.com |

Not fair to do name calling and berate people, but does sound like many little clubs with "GOOD OLE BOYS " attitude, not uncommon amongst many groups of people, not just pullers. |
Come pull at Glenford Lions Club in Ohio

I'm quite sure the Glenford lions club group in SE Ohio would welcome any and all who would like to come pull with them. I believe that they run 12500, and 14500 , 3000 rpm and no speed limits. |

If you haven't been to the HOI Fair pull on farm stock night you need to be there this year.

What does the effingham area consider farm stocks? Some places it's turn the pump and go. Some are running ppumps and intercoolers for farm stock. Don't want to show up and be embarrassed. |

What weight are u wanting to run and what class? There are good 8 and 12 mph class 12500 and 14000 around Effingham. Most of the class is red. 2.75 on the charger and stock appearing injection pump, guessing most of the pumps are in the neighborhood of 600 cc plus. 2800 rpms except big blocks. Most run torque back in high 3rd at 12500. Some of them have stock 3rd with a couple of gears with a tooth or two under. The open class is 12500 and 14000. Same rules as 12 mph. In all classes the tractors that came with factory p-pump can run it |

Wow

600cc plus pumps and 2.75 chargers to run 8 and 12mph? Seems a bit excessive in my eyes. You could make some serious power for speeds like that. I know 14,000 is heavy and you'll get a lot of bite but dang. I guess farm stock is whatever you want it to be anymore. |
