Richmond Tractor Pull April 9-10, 2021 April 05, 2021 03:02PM
8th Annual Bluegrass Super Pull Returns To Richmond, Kentucky This Friday and Saturday, April 9 and 10th
The much anticipated return of the Vintage Tractor Pulling Association (VTPA) goes back to the event that started it all, as the Bluegrass Super Pull returns to its birthplace at the Madison County Fairgrounds, in Richmond, KY. “This event has had over 1,000 tractors go down the twin tracks in Richmond. This pull is also the home of the Baddest Antique in the World Competition, and we look forward to crowning a champion this weekend,” commented VTPA Founder and CEO Tom McConnell.
New for the event this year is the addition of the Muscle Tractors. “The Muscle Tractors are the work horses of the farm lands, and for the first time ever, these giants, some weighing at over 13,000 pounds, will be pulling indoor on Saturday night. Also we have added some exhibition Super Street Semis,” said McConnell. “With two tracks of action going constantly, this event is like nothing else in this area, or the country,”
Also new this year is the addition of Dirt Drag Racing. The Dirt Drag Racing will take place outdoors, about 300 feet away from the indoor arena. The Dirt Drag Racing is sanctioned by KOI Dirt Drags, and KOI President, Lewis Cleaver commented that he is expecting a high turnout of drivers in all classes of racing. The KOI Dirt Drags will feature Diesel Trucks racing side by side, along with Semis, ATVs and about any kind of vehicle you can image will be in Richmond this weekend.
Everyone attending the event will receive a Blums Farmer’s Almanac, as Blums is one of the sponsors of the event. Also attending and having a display booth is the CEN-PE-CO Lubricant Company, which is the number one oil company in the total amount of wins of any oil company in the sport of pulling. CEN-PE-CO representatives will be on hand and will be sponsoring Coffee and Donuts for the pullers during registration on Saturday morning.

Also on hand will be the Imitator ATVs and the Spartan Mower companies. Both will offer fans and drivers a chance to test drive their mowers and will have a display booth. Other booth displays include River City Truck Parts and MANN CHRSYLER DODGE JEEP RAM, which will have vehicles on display and will register people to win a new RAM Truck.
Everyone attending will also receive a Blum’s Farmers and Planters Almanac. Blum’s is the title sponsor of the event, and is wanting all fans and drivers to understand how Blums Almanac can be used in so many ways.

Where else are you expecting to pull the muscle tractor classes this year? How many tractors to a class usually?

I’m interested as well. I looked on their website but there is nothing listed on their schedule.
