What size are the bolts?

ARP has a generic torque table on their website.

Use their lube. I did some tests with clamping force at rated torque and their lube was the best of what was tested. I plan to put the tests on Youtube when I get done with the editing.

The bolts are 1/2"
I've always torqued the stock st bolts to 130.
I used 30weight oil on the bolt assembly .
Never had an issue

ARP calls for 125 FP for the mid grade and 140 for the very high strength. The 8740 studs should be the mid grade at 190K PSI .

From my tests you gain about 5% more clamp with ARP lube.

Go by what your book says, that's what it's for.If you go higher that your spec in the book you will crush your caps and have to rehone them.

As Cleet and Atex57 said, use ARP spec AND THEIR LUBE as it is their fastener.

You are correct, changing fasteners and torque specs will tend to distort the housing bore. It should be automatic that when you change fasteners from OEM to ARP that you resize the rods. At the machine shop I work at, we wouldn't even waste the time checking the housing bore after putting new ARP bolts in. We will just cut the parting line, torque the new bolts in place and hone to size and be done with it.

Yes the rods were hardened and balanced
Paper said torque to 110

I torqued to book at 130

Can I remove them and re torque to 110, or the bearings junk now because of the crush .
Now I feel dumb...

Go by what ARP says. They made the bolts. If you are not sure then call them, that's why they are there. 125 on a ARP bolt with rolled threads and their lube may end up being a much higher clamp loading than 130 with oil on stock bolts, which is kinda the whole point of the exercise. Not all bolts or lubes are created equal, as atex57 pointed out above. The bolts should have been in and torqued properly before honing anyway.
