Some thoughts from Friday night
Full Pull live gets better every weekend. I enjoyed having the class winners in the booth giving commentary. Minis: in a class that the competition is so strong and seemingly anybody could win on any night the Theobolds have something figured out. On a night when the track had clearly went away Grant somehow managed to take the last hook in the class and put a large gap between himself and second place. Impressive win for their team! Renee with a great run as well. Pro Stocks: I'm not here to talk about sled settings, I agree with all of you but don't care to discuss that. What I will say is WOW that was one of the most impressive showings I've seen. Simon goes 380 and makes the flag man back pedal, Mcgrath goes nearly the same in a great pass. MAC Daddy went 397 feet and I thought well nobody is beating that, and then Simon comes back and goes 413!!!! Phenomenal competition. Also, Brandon Simon referenced Brent Meyer owning Loud and Heavy multiple times which I thought was odd..... SSD: Well that showing isn't one to write home to mom about, pretty much summed up a lot of the comments on this site about how there are only 5-6 tractors that hook and half of them break. Great pass by Ross again but horrible showing by the class overall. The pro stock class gave us great competition to watch and enjoy and this SSD class wasn't a competition at all. The other classes were solid but didn't leave a large impression to me |

Brent Meyer does own Loud & Heavy. Simon's made this public several weeks ago as they have another tractor in the works. Brent Yaron Hooked Up Pulling Productions hookeduppullingproductions@gmail.com |

You have to remember though also that this was the first hook for the DSS. Alot of new setups being tested with bugs to work out. |

I am suspecting the super stock diesel class will get better as the season goes on and the tractors being dialed in. Take into note this was the first ssd hook of the year. |

I would love to believe that there are more DSS waiting in the wings but I'm not sure who they are?
I realize that there are more DSS that are out there, however I'm not sure just how many want to follow a national circuit. Such a great class, however numbers are shrinking not growing. Not really sure what the solution is. Dick Morgan www.PULLOFF.com Independent Pulling News |

That begs the question. How many diesel superstocks are realistically still out there? I'm not familiar what's out there nationally, but in Outlaw country there aren't many. How many are there? One in South Dakota, but it hasn't been out for a few years. One or two in Nebraska? Iowa used to have as many as 10, but I lost track of who is still pulling and who has retired. |

Roughly 60 of them out there according to a list I made. Several of them haven't ran in a few years though. Brent Yaron Hooked Up Pulling Productions hookeduppullingproductions@gmail.com Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/17/2024 06:05AM by Brent Yaron. |

Is there any chance of you posting the list? |

It may not be this way at every event but the SSD4X4 class had more vehicles hook than any class, except the minis. Six of the 12 were from MO, IN, OH and six were from MN/WI. I expect there will be at least 2 more vehicles hooking in Tomah. |

The SSD4x4 put on a great showing! Really looking forward to watching the class this summer. Great to see you back out as well, you had a nice first pass on the truck! Brent Yaron Hooked Up Pulling Productions hookeduppullingproductions@gmail.com |

I thought the Friday night show went pretty good, other than the PS sled setting and DSS class working on getting the bugs out. Huge semi class this season and it was very nice to see the dss trucks put on a great show. I certainly didn't think the track was going to come together as nice as it did, it looked very wet while prepping the track. To bad Saturday was a wash, a lot of these guys drove a long ways to only hook once. Looking forward to Tomah this week, hopefully the weather cooperates. |

Where did all the dss from UPM go?I know guy blechinger had sleepless nights out which I haven’t seen in a while. I know there was an allis called another bad habit and I think there was one called red terror. I looked at some archives and saw there used to be good turnout in Ellsworth for ssd 2012 had 9 tractors I think. What happened to them? |

So looking at UPM Archives of points here is what I see for Heavy Super Pullers
Ken Witt (alcohol) Still pulls his off and on Chris Rachner obviously pulling Esdon Lehn Obviously still pulling Greg Ratz (alcohol) converted to super farm Guy Blechinger Split the block in Wilmar multiple years ago and has had it back out and running the last few years Dick, Jon, Trevor Miller AC was sold off Randy Becker parked and had parts missing I heard Nick Dahl Sold to Pete Mcgiffins Brandon Besser Light Pro Tractor These are the people who have pulled for points within the last 10 or so years |
