Appears Uncle Sam is coming back with vengeance! 6 hemis!
Thomas Meseraull posted a video on fb when he was at Englers

Re: New Uncle Sam Unlimited July 30, 2024 02:00PM
That will be fun to watch for sure. It will be interesting if he can get it to work. Seems like most in the unlimited class are going with 4 motors and concentrating on getting all their power to the ground rather than getting as much hp as possible.

Re: New Uncle Sam Unlimited July 30, 2024 02:05PM
Rumor has it this will be an exhibition tractor only and six may not be the final number.

It’s gonna hold 8

Re: New Uncle Sam Unlimited July 31, 2024 12:09AM
Doesn't the NTPA have a rule only 5 fully blown engines, and how do you run exhibitions. How do they set the sled, when would he hook, do they stop the show for one run never going to happen

How would they set the sled? Much like any other time they set a sled…educated guess dependent on track settings. It’s not like your turning some new guy loose with 6 engines who is going to bend the throttle forward and crash the whole boat if it’s set a little light. Exhibitions are about the wow factor so it’s likely Wayne will have to shut it down on his own and coast to a stop.
When would it pull, probably at the end of the night or whatever makes sense for sled sets to keep the show moving like any other night. Stop the show for one run you say and never going to happen? Bet it does if that’s what is warranted. It’s pretty obvious just how clueless and out of touch with….any aspect of this you are. Yet have such strong negative input on the matter. I guess that’s the Pulloff.com way though.

Re: New Uncle Sam Unlimited July 31, 2024 12:24PM
So first they probably run a Unlimited mod and then a 6,7,8 engine comes and either blows out the end or shut down half way down the track. Nothing like making a whole class of Unlimited mods look bad, or he shuts down half way and crowd yawns and says what's the big deal. This is never going to happen

Re: New Uncle Sam Unlimited July 31, 2024 01:31PM
So Wayne must be building this as a lawn ornament then?

Ya know it doesn’t matter if it’s exhibition or not we get the same rush of adrenaline for a few seconds, even on a lesser ride, I’ve had to run exhibition plenty of times just because I didn’t have a class to run in, so I’d say for no more than it pays to run a big mod, he says I’m gonna go have some fun with something unique, and more power to him I can’t wait to see it finished and go down the track. As for those who are so wrapped up in rules, get a life , it’s short, mind your own, and just sit back and enjoy view while it’s here.

One of anglers dyno sprint car videos that guy says 8

Re: New Uncle Sam Unlimited July 31, 2024 03:16PM
If it happens or not, whats the point of it? That he has a ton of money and wants to burn some of it? Is the wheel speed going to be so much higher that the average fan can tell a difference? Are 8 engines going to be noticeably louder than 4 or 5? Or is he just going go run 8 engines relatively lazy and fool people just with the spectacle of having 8. How much is he going to charge to book him to make one pass? I thought the unlimiteds were already having trouble with rear ends?

I don't know any of the answers, I just have questions. Once again, what would be the point of it?

Re: New Uncle Sam Unlimited July 31, 2024 10:21PM
I would rather see a 5-engine Uncle Sam compete than an 8 engine Uncle Sam in exhibition.

Re: New Uncle Sam Unlimited July 31, 2024 10:58PM
I second that TOM…I want to see more competition and not exhibition. I’d rather him just stick to running unlimited…if he wants to have a setup to add motors for a show tractor/making exhibitions…that’s cool but if he isn’t going to be running unlimited…that is taking away a good tractor.

Re: New Uncle Sam Unlimited August 01, 2024 01:19AM
Why are we arguing over someone trying to do something different and have a little fun while making fans getting excited?

Yeah I miss him in the unlimited class but... I would travel to an event just to see his new tractor and see it run. Anyone ever see the hype or get excited over the monster mods over in Europe? That's what our mod class has lost over the years, the craziness of designs, engine combos, and lots of engines. Yeah 4 are cool, 5 is really cool but there aren't very many, 6 are awesome but there hasn't been one in a long time. I remember when I think it was Petros, multi Chaos or the Young Blood came out on the track fans went crazy when they seen it, before it even pulled. You don't see that level of excitement anymore.

Re: New Uncle Sam Unlimited August 01, 2024 01:55AM
One thing I totally agree with is the diversity in the European mods. Crazy combinations of power plants. Our mods all look basically the same, with sheet metal so small ( fenders are just about it ) to work with there is so little room to paint/wrap so it's almost impossible to have any mod stand out.

One possible factor nobody mentioned August 01, 2024 01:51AM
What will it weigh with 8 engines? Aren't the 3 bar roll cages only certified to 10,000 lbs? Even if it's not competing, the sanctioning body SFI specs would apply, I'd think.

Re: One possible factor nobody mentioned August 01, 2024 03:22PM
Quit being fun-suckers and just enjoy a 5,6,7, or 8 engine mod for goodness sake!!

Be entertained, enjoy yourselves and watch a guy do something cool.

Re: One possible factor nobody mentioned August 01, 2024 03:57PM
Not to change the subject, but while we're talking about exhibition vehicles, what ever happened to the Angry Farmer truck that had a motor that burned nitro methane? I saw it started once, it never hooked to a sled that I know of. It was loud but not very impressive.
