Stroking an F20

Hello all, long time lurker, finally registered recently. I've always wanted to build a sleeper puller out of an F20 I have. I remember reading in The Hook (probably close to 30 years ago) about a guy who had a stroked F20. I've thought about it numerous times, my biggest fear is the 2 ball bearing crank. Anyone done it in the past and not regretted it? I've also read about someone who added a 3rd main bearing but can't find any more info about that either. Thanks! |

Keith and Jeff Merfeld from Dubuque Iowa had a big F-20 and a big F-30 that both had center mains in them I believe. And ran very well. They used to build engines, I do not know if they still do or not though. |
