hopefully PS is last! takes them 5 minutes to get started and backed up to the sled and then "womp womp" for another 3 minutes. if they are last people can leave if they dont want to sit through that. |

"hopefully PS is last! takes them 5 minutes to get started and backed up to the sled and then "womp womp" for another 3 minutes. if they are last people can leave if they dont want to sit through that."
........right. Because Mods/Unlimiteds/TWD NEVER take more than 2 mins to fire up, back in and be ready to run........
Insert sarcasm here. Every class seems to have its share of issues with taking their time getting to the sled. Perhaps the someone needs to crack the whip a little more often with having guys ready to go. I realize track maintenance is a thing, but their isn't a requirement to wait until the grooming vehicles exit the track BEFORE firing up to get out there......that's the biggest issue I see at times. |

Does NTPA still have a rule that states a certain amount of time [ 3 minutes ? ] from hooking to the sled to start moving after the green flag still in the rule book? Dick Morgan www.PULLOFF.com Independent Pulling News |

I actually experienced this first hand at Farley this year. They were staggering the two tracks so only one vehicle would be going down the track at one time. The Prostock receives the green flag, they call for me to fire up, I fire, drive on the track, tighten the chain and the Prostock is still sitting there under the green flag. Sitting there waiting for them to give me the green flag truly felt like forever (30-45 seconds). I would say on average that you can run 2 twds in the same amount of time as 1 Prostock (insert sarcasm about 65 twds and how no body wants to watch them here) Not bashing prostocks because I love watching them too but I really do get tired of people bashing twds when they are usually one of the most efficient classes. |

Rear view cameras would help save time. |

I agree 2 Wheel Dr. are incredibly efficient. My only request would be but they put them at the end of the show so I could leave a little early. Get back to the truck and beat traffic home before it gets too late. Everybody has their favorite classes 2 Wheel Dr. is not one of mine. I have seen a twd class take forever between hooks so every class is subject to it as long as we are bashing prostock lets be fair it is possible with all classes. |

Everyone has different preferences. I think a good rule of thumb would be to not start pulls with the same classes time after time. I get it that the crowd could be late getting in so you might not start a pull with your featured class. But at the pulls I go to in Nebraska, they have the same "local" classes first. The first three classes consists of what others call "starter classes" and so, you might be 90 minutes or more into it before the higher horsepower classes take the track. And if there's a class we don't normally get to see, it will be held out until the end of the night when the older folks, families with kids and casual fans are long gone. |

As an official, I hate standing on the track for grand national pro stocks. It’s 5-6 minutes to get one down the track and it makes it feel like the show is dragging. I can only imagine being a spectator. |
