List of pulling classes in U.S.

I keep hearing that there are way too many pulling classes, especially single turbo diesel. Well, how many different classes are out there? Tractors? Modifieds? Minis? Trucks? What are the differences? |

Add to that list the variations of each of those classes except the last 3 listed. There are different cubes, turbo size, tire size. cut and non-cut tires, intercoolers, no intercoolers. water injection-no water injection, and on and on. You can easily triple the number of classes listed. |

For Semis, PPL Hot Rod Semis, NTPA Super Semis, and FPP Big Rigs are the same class with different names. Ohio has a Pro Stock semi, which is basically the same thing also.
Multi chargers are legal but other than maybe Nikki's Nightmare, I'm not sure if anyone runs them. Several groups have limited PS semis, but I don't know what turbo size they run, or if some groups have different turbo limits. . |

Maybe I asked a bad question. But it would be cool if people would weigh in on what is actually out there. |

Face-you can surf the web for your answers, you would have to cover each state at every level. I doubt you'd finish your search in 24 hrs.. It's more than crazy! |

For example within a couple hours of my house there are 6 different clubs. All of them have a “farm stock” class each with their own name. 2 Hot 2 farm, altered farm, outlaw farm, etc. Every class is basically the same (466ci, 3,000rpm, s300) but the rules are just different enough that nobody can run together. Some allow water injection some don’t. Some run s362 some run s360. Some allow case 505 and bbjd some don’t. And this is the same for hot farm and pro farm too. |
