Orange Machine D-21 March 06, 2025 05:02AM
I am trying to track down the history of a vintage pulling tractor.
Here is what I know:
Tractor: Orange Machine.
First owner/ Builder: Gary Reed.
Second owner: Roy Decker.
Next owner(s): Unkown.

The tractor was built and campaigned by Gary Reed in the early 1970's. It was sold to Roy Decker of Watkins, IA in the mid 1970's. Roy sold it sometime around 1981. It was listed for sale in The Puller magazine in March, 1979.

WHERE DID IT GO AFTER THAT?

Are you sure it wasn't Roy BECKER from Watkins, IA.?

Roy Becker pulled the Orange Crate D-21 through 1981.

ROY BECKER.

Not Decker. I was mistaken.

More recent research informs me Roy had the tractor up until the late 80's or early 90's when the rolling chassis was sold to Arlin Jensen. The rest seems to have been parted out to the Kinzebaw family.
