Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 11, 2025 12:19AM
Some observations:

Simons/Brent Meyer added more pro stocks
Lesichners have another mini
No 4 Play in the 4WD class
Theobolds have a third mini now
Lindsey/Kevin Campbell have a third mini

The pro stock class at this pull might be the best gathering of vehicles the class has ever seen. As a fan I'm not sure how you couldn't be excited to watch that group. All the classes are great but this pro stock class might top the NFMS. (only because they have a full track otherwise it's the same tractors mostly)

All the classes at this pull look incredibly strong.

Farley Minis April 11, 2025 01:14AM
Bryan McDonald not on list and these six could be new or new owner tractors? Anyone know?

Campbells / Chaos
Mason Theobald / Wicked
Peter Norton / TBD
Peter Norton / TBD
Bret Berg / Money Maker Gold
Cody Edwards / Razor’s Edge

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 11, 2025 01:42AM
Leischner's second mini is owned by Matt Johnson.

There is not 50 mods or unlimited tractors out there. even if you combined them......

Actually, there are 52 combined Modifieds and Unlimiteds as of right now.

How many vehicles go to the finals in each class Saturday night?

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 11, 2025 05:38AM
no mods or unlimiteds at this event is a huge miss in my opinion…i myself will not travel to a pull unless at least one class is on the docket. i hope they do some sort of invitational. Cant have the greatest show ever without the highest horsepower machines in the world pulling. very disappointing…

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 11, 2025 06:02AM
Like usual, someone always has to whine and cry even though these guys are trying to do something unique. Never please everyone, always gonna be a whiner try and bring you down.

that is a completely idiotic reply, no body cares at all about what or where and why you would travel somewhere you dumb human, so shut the @#$%& up, john

I'm with John!! You're reply is idiotic!!

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 14, 2025 01:27AM
I love the idea of the pull but don't understand the timing. They are pulling competitors and entire classes from all the organizations, except 4x4, because of the money factor and scheduled it for the first big weekend of pulling. Now there making other organizations and promoters scramble to make there events go. I wish them luck and hope the layout they are going to use works but feel bad for the other long running events that will struggle now.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 14, 2025 06:42AM
PPL and Outlaw are the only other national orgs and neither have a pull with crossover classes during Farley NTPA. Surely you're not going to name some state level org as a "pulling conflict" for this new, amazing, first of its kind event to "feel sorry for"? Surely.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 14, 2025 08:35AM
Are you forgetting Mackville with PPL? Been on that weekend for 50 plus years and not that far from Farley.

Why can't you bring up a "state level pull"??? the only class they are running that would not effect a state level pull are the diesel super stocks??? I am not comparing Simons pull to state level pulling, they have a cool idea and I wish them well. I am saying the state local regional pulls that happen that weekend are now going to be short competitors. Not everyone is willing to travel to Farley to watch a pull, fan in the stands numbers won't suffer much but pullers in the pits will, and most of those "local" pulls that don't matter to you are churches, fire departments, lions clubs, FFA clubs..... That are trying to fund raise for the year.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 14, 2025 10:06AM
Where are the class lists for Mackville posted. I know they moved, but haven't found it.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 14, 2025 10:17AM
The email I received said Champions Tour Mod 4x4, Super Farm, USS with Silver Series Light Pros. What badger state classes are, I don't know yet.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 14, 2025 02:37PM
Simons pull is NTPA and the 4x4 class has a 650 CI limit. Don't think that will take away too many champions tour trucks.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 15, 2025 01:45AM
I guess on paper, the biggest conflicts between classes Mackville had last year and Farley are Pro Stock, Limited Pros, and TWD. As noted, FWD also but because PPL has different rules there isn't a ton of crossover between most trucks that pull champion's tour and NTPA. Though sometimes local-ish NTPA legal trucks will show up as well- the only one on the Farley list I can remember for sure is Manke though (and they weren't there last year).

TWD as a Badger State class is pretty light- Deppes with a handful, Timmermans with a couple, then a couple others. When it was a national PPL class at Mackville (like last year) it had a good turnout, but from the above it sounds like that is not the case this year. Deppes are listed for Farley (only one truck though) so if Mackville runs TWD as a BSTP class it will probably be pretty thin.

PS would be hurt pretty bad if Mackville runs it. Ladwig, Coates x2, Rauen x3 accounted for 6 of 10 PS that showed up last year, including the top 4 finishers.

Lim Pro would be in very tough shape- Gallitz x2 (though only one on the list for Farley), Gerlach, Kutz, Stevens, McDonald, Meier accounted for 7 of 9 last year, including the top 6 finishers. Only Elsings (who are conspicuous in their absence from Farley in both PS and LPS) and Chris Feller aren't on the list.

One other conflict if Mackville is bringing back USS- even though USS isn't running at Farley, Hirt has his minis entered. Will be interesting to see what he does with that.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 15, 2025 02:14AM
Also wouldn't be so bad if Farley wasn't doing a lucky dog drawing to get back in the finals Saturday night. The guys that didn't make it to the finals could still make a Saturday night show at the Mackville Nationals, but now they all have to sit until Saturday afternoon to find out if they got the lucky dog.

From what I heard, the lucky dog drawing will be decided upon that night after each session, like a "post pull press conference" sort of thing.

Things to note: All they did was switch weekends with Hutchinson. Mackville might be hurt just a bit, but I'm sure it won't be awful.
1) Trying to have the pull before the season starts interrupts planting, test-n-tune's, and has more potential for rainouts.
2) Trying to have the pull at the end of the season would make them run into harvesting, as well as some people are burnt out, and are waiting for that break.
3) If you look towards the dirt track racing, like Late Models and such, if there is a big money race, that may overlap a points race for them, most will take that chance.

One more thing, it's only the first year. Give them a break. Isn't it worth trying to do something like this for the sport? Isn't it worth losing a few pullers here and there, in order for the future to be more promising?

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 17, 2025 01:00AM
Morgan. I am not arguing your points. I agree with all of them. It just sucks to see an event like that move to the first big weekend of pulling and pull competitors away from other long running established events.

I bet the tune would be different if they picked the same weekend as the TPC, Tomah, Hillsborough, or BG......

You obviously never had to schedule a event as a promoter and select classes for that event. When your 3 big classes you ALWAYS had that draws your crowd in have no competitors available and your basically a grand national event and now you have to bring in smaller power classes to fill the void the event is lack luster, and the fans say why? Yes any normal event a competitor or 2 missing wouldn't be the end of the world. But... when you have the ONLY event in the area that brings in the bigger grand national classes and association for more than a 2.5 hour radius and now you can't have a good showing.

If you read my earlier posts, yes I agree I love what they are trying to do, yes I hope they succeed and we have a new format to follow in pulling, this format is what I hoped the TPC would turn into. I have no issues with what they are trying to do, it is the timing that I and others have issues with. I am just the only one sharing it.

It will be interesting to see if there is cross over in the classes if the pullers stick with the chance at big money or if they back out and don't want to give up points in the chase for a championship.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 17, 2025 02:32AM
Hey Badgerfan... why don't you be a man and quit hiding behind your computer screen and tell the world who you are! Your pretty opinionated but thats easy to do when you don't have to answer to anyone... I'll be waiting!

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 17, 2025 04:54AM
I thought I had heard that Mackville was put on hold for this year, so for other promoters to wait to see what may happen doesn't make sense. Now I do see Mackville moved locations and are having a pull so things have changed and Mackville will have to just deal with dragging their feet, some of which may have been out of their hands.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 17, 2025 09:29AM
One question about the future- the Mackville pull is always Father's Day weekend. What is the planned schedule for Farley- Father's Day weekend, or the second weekend in June? Because those are not typically the same. This year is a unique situation- Father's Day is as early in June as it can be because it is the third Sunday, and June 1st is a Sunday. Next year, the second weekend in June is the 13-14, but Father's Day is the following Weekend (the 21st). The next year we'd have this situation is 2031.

It's kind of ironic that with all this conflict, there is kind of an "extra" weekend in June that's fairly open- normally Mackville is the week before Tomah, but there is a weekend in between this year. Which sort of begs the question- should Mackville have, for this year at least, rather than sticking with "Father's Day" for their schedule regardless of what else is going on, done "third weekend in June" instead? That is actually more in line with where it traditionally ends up except for years like this with a weird quirk of the calendar.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 17, 2025 08:50AM
I see. So, since he doesn’t post his name, his points and questions aren’t valid? That’s what I do not understand. What difference does it make if someone uses their name or not? People do not use their “real” names for many reasons. It doesn’t mean what they’re stating isn’t accurate or worth discussing.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 18, 2025 01:22AM
Bottom line, why would the Simon's worry about a state level pull when scheduling their event?

Sucks for the Badger State and Mackville people but why would RJ see Mackville on the schedule and go "oh looks like we'll have to pick a different weekend". That's just absurd. Yes, it sucks for the Mackville promoter, and fans but it would be totally illogical for Rj and the Farley team to schedule around an event that doesn't impact the NTPA, doesn't truly impact the PPL 9the classes aren't the same), so why would they even consider not having it that weekend?

Just say what's really on your mind BadgerFan, you're upset that the Badger State boys would rather enter the greatest class of pro stocks ever assembled than pull in Mackville. Yes definitely sucks for the Mackville show. There are state and regional pulls every weekend, so no matter what weekend the Simons picked it would interfere with some pull some where. The Farley pull doesn't overlap with a GN or PPL points hook for the classes involved in Farley so they picked the best weekend possible. The Farley pull will have a much larger impact on pulling than Mackville, sorry it's just the truth.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 18, 2025 02:37AM
"Greatest class of prostocks ever assembled? Based on what? Ever been to Bowling Green? Do you work for "Simon Sales"?!

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 18, 2025 04:04AM
I literally live in Bowling Green. What makes this better is that you get the same 50 tractors you'd have in BG but you get a much smaller group competing for a championship after they qualify for the final. I love the BG pull but when the class sizes are that large the pro stock class lasts 3 hours and by the time the final one goes down the track you've nearly forgotten the pass made 25 tractors earlier that won it. If they had a pulloff that problem would be fixed. But this Farley event takes a great group and makes iteven better because they narrow it down to the best of the best for the Saturday showdown for the money.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 18, 2025 09:56AM
"Greatest class of prostocks ever assembled". "Same 50 you'd have in BG". Your words, not mine.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 21, 2025 01:48AM
Doug, why does it matter who I am? Have I said anything that is a lie? Have I called out anyone falsely? Called anyone names? Ridiculed anyone? Because you and Beer Money share your names and can do no wrong it is ok to be critical of people and openly call people names, and disagree with whoever does not agree with you? Ever wonder why the BMPT and Fullpull following on here are so low??? btw I have already defended both of you in my opinionated posts before... And it is not ok for me to share my thoughts? How am I being opinionated when I am pointing out the obvious but also saying I hope Simons pull goes well???

Would you have the same thoughts if Farley picked the same weekend as TPC? Would you have the same thoughts if Mackville paid BMPT or FullPull to promote there pull and Simons didn't? Or if Simons weren't your friends and could do no wrong in your eyes? I'll be waiting!

FYI why does my name matter, I am not connected to Mackville, I pull locally but nothing that anyone would ever recognize or know, I am not connected to any organization, I have not met the Morgans, BMPT, Fullpull, including Doug, I am just a fan of pulling that no one would know anyway that cares enough to post on here.

Mackville looked at moving a weekend later this year because of Farley, but PPL was already booked that weekend. I didn't realize Mackville was a State event since they have PPL there??? And yes, as stated earlier Farley is using 4 classes that Mackville regularly had on there schedule and as stated earlier a couple classes have driver overlap. And Mackville is not the only other pull that weekend that would use any of the classes listed at Farley's pull, I only use Mackville as an example as it is a PPL Grnad National event even though everyone says it is not. There are many other pulls that day, Fathers day weekend in this area of the country is the first big weekend of pulling for any organization.

Say what you want, the Farley pull is sanctioned by NTPA but it is NOT a points hook or Grand National hook only a money hook, the same as the TPC sanctioned by PPL. If it was strictly a NTPA points pull like Hutch was and normally on the same weekend it wouldn't be a issue there is enough dedication to each club to make it go. But it is not, it is for big money trying to draw competitors from ALL organizations, state, regional, GN, even brush pulls, a pull like this in my opinion should be like the TPC and on a off weekend, not during the season hurting other events.... LET ME SAY IT AGAIN<If it was strictly a NTPA points pull it wouldn't be a issue there is enough dedication to each club to make it go. But it is not, it is for big money trying to draw competitors from ALL organizations, state, regional, GN, even brush pulls, a pull like this in my opinion should be like the TPC and on a off weekend, not during the season hurting other events....

Most of you are dense saying I am only upset because the Badger State guys are pulling at Farley, I could care less where they go. That is not my point at all. The issue is promoters and organizations working AGAINST each other and not together!!! You want go grow pulling but your ok with someone coming in and ruining other long established events that try hard to put on a show, that support there local churches, schools, and non profits?

Before Doug or someone says it is because I don't like NTPA you can look back at my posts defending NTPA and my statement saying I would rather see a NTPA pull than a PPL pull. My issue is not with an organization or event being better than another it is with the timing and lack of cooperation between events and organizations.

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 21, 2025 02:41AM
As per Simon's switching dates in June I have a few points i would like to share.

BEFORE I GET MY HEAD CHEWED OFF :
I do NOT have a issue with Simons having the high stakes event as so they choose. I do NOThave a machine that will be pulling at the event. But I do promote a event that is the same weekend. Previously I enjoyed sharing support for the Farley event the week before my own. I would attend and encourage others to attend both events on different weekends. Now with the change of their dates people will have to choose where they would like to go to watch a pull. Some will attend both on different nights, some may choose one over the other. I am not concerned about my show's attendance at this point but feel there could have been more consideration to help grow the sport in the area rather than compete for attendance.

Fathers day weekend has been a annual weekend for many events and Simon's event has always been the weekend prior to fathers day . Whether it be pullers or fans I feel the timing of this event will not be great for anyone. Mackville(BSTP), Cuba City(ECI & TRI-STATE), Davenport(ECI) and Farley are all events within reasonable driving distance of each other happening June 13th &14th.

• Farley’s event Moved 1 week later in June than previous years. Now the event falls on the same weekend as multiple events. Some local, some not.
o Hutchinson had to switch their weekend
o ECI has two pulls under an Hour away (Cuba City WI - Friday & Davenport IA – Saturday)
o Tri State pullers – Cuba city WI – Saturday
o Badger state pullers - Mackville WI – Friday & Saturday
• As it may not affect competitors, all events will be affected! The FANS can’t be in multiple places at once. Crowds are what keep our sport growing and funding pulling events.
• Pullers of local associations that would possibly have been in attendance as a fan/fellow puller support will be pulling at his association event and NOT in farely. Along with their fanbase/ support group.
• Pullers that would have local events had to make a choice as to enter the Farley event. Miss their association’s first points hook of the season or not enter the into Simons High stakes pull.
o This ultimately hurts our sport instead of growing it.

I wish the best to everyone this summer and hope all events go well

Brian Mueller

Re: Farley 50k to win Entrants April 21, 2025 08:06AM
Wow i have not been on here for a bit! Everyone i want to say i am sorry for the date change in my eyes we were always the 2nd weekend in June. I personally didn't look at the holidays to check when fathers day was. It was my fault i screwed up and now i know i need to look at holidays instead of weekends. With that said i was told why don't you just move your date? Well because we have an event center on site here that is booked for peoples weddings some times over 3 years out! I am sorry my options were this have a pull on the 2nd weekend in June or have no pull. I was not calling a bride to be and saying we need your date.... sorry i know what a bad person i am! I feel bad for the events that now we will compete against but there is only so many weekends in a year and that sucks. So please if we can all get along and just realize that it was not done to hurt anyone it was a simple mistake. We did our normal deal the 2nd weekend in June. I learned to now watch holidays too I have a calendar here to watch that now! I hope to see everyone that can come June 12-14 Farley IA 300 Raceway for the LARGEST PURSE in pulling History!!

In my Opinion Simon Sez response sets the tone for the kind of people they truly are. Yes, they are a powerhouse team. Big financial status that can impact the sport. BUT... the statement of " I was not calling a bride to be and saying we need your date...." ... THEY CARE more about others than making a dollar for themselves. My hats off to you guys.

So are there going to be mods there or not? BY says yes, but the NTPA website and Farley website don't mention them.

No.

I wish them well. Without mods and supers, this feels like having a big dollar drag race without funny car or top fuel.
