Injection water

Coverdale 2026

What is everyone using for Coverdale/gordyville water? My association sells there water premixed with lube it usually refracts 5-8 but I don’t want to take the chance of being disqualified but I also want to run lube in my system. |

Years past they provide (you have to buy it though) their water. You must run theirs, check each tractor once it’s off the track. |

Why on earth would you put food coloring in your injection water? That makes no sense whatsoever. I've never seen an engine really care what color of water that you cram down its throat. |

I guess Mark wanted it to be identifiable at a glance, but it does look like a jug of windshield washer fluid lol! He did tell me they noticed the dye seemed to have an anti-foaming effect. I'll be experimenting with that too. We don't need the color, as we aren't selling it, so no need to make it "pretty" lol! The water I used at Cloverdale last winter was green, I'm sure there was some sort of dye in that, sure hope they don't use green river water lmao! |

Distilled water with Colberg Water Soluble Lube, 4 oz Lube per gallon of Distilled.
I guess I’ve only used their water down there in the past, but run all summer with the mix above. Also don’t recall what the limit is down there (4 or 5?) We use the same test during summer and never have an issue. Tests in the 2-3 range every time, so it shouldn’t be a problem. |

Our ISP Colberg water tests about 8.5-9, and it's distilled water, 4oz/gal Colberg water inj lube, and food coloring. Maybe the food coloring brings the refract number up? We plan to experiment here to make sure we are under the 5 for Klint's rules. Going to try less oil per gal, like 2 oz, then 3 checking it each step. |
