Given the high interest rates in recent years, combined with people not wanting to sell homes or new homebuyers having trouble getting financed, I can see how someone in the mortgage business could experience leaner than normal years recently. |

Im surprised any seller would let a buyer take possession of a pulling vehicle without it being paid for 100 %,doesn't matter what class or caliber of the equipment is.now add the fact that in this caliber every time it hooks the possibility of major catastrophic damage is in play that cost over half the vehicles value to repair properly. |

Re: Schultz vs Beck Money Judgement

According to the henry county court website it’s still an open case. Rumors started flying from credible sources at NFMS last year that he never made the second payment. Then another rumor came out that UD motorsports made the second Payment for him , which makes sense considering he can’t make the final payment of $87k |

The easiest thing to do would be to call Mike and ask him if he’s been paid, you will get the answer and the answer is yes , he has been paid , everyone have a merry Christmas |

Re: Schultz vs Beck Money Judgement

Yep

If I was Mr.Beck I'd be repossesing my tractor, if what's been posted is true Jason is in violation of the agreement therefore said agreement is void an null, i myself would be in possession of the ( Hightech Redneck/ Remedy ) until it's paid in full and would list it foresale and resell it, Jason has clearly not followed through and therefore forfeits everything that's been paid thus far !!! Just my opinion but that's business !!! And Jason knows this, if someone renigs on a home loan ( the business he's in ) I'm sure he would be doin the same thing !!! |

Not that easy

Sounds good but by law you have to go through the court system to take position of something. Even if its stolen property you can't just go take it back or you become just as big a criminal in the eyes of the law. Its not right and it sucks but its the law. Anyone that says different hasn't actually ever delt with anything like this in real life and is just a keyboard blowhard. Also if it has been resolved outside of court it will still be activate untill the next time they get infront of a judge and it is officially dismissed. The legal system in this country is extremely slow and complicated. If your only knowledge is from tv shows you truly have no idea what is actually involved in resolving something like this.
I have no personal knowledge nor do i care about this particular situation just the laws ingeneral. |

It’s the sad truth. The deadbeats have more leverage than the honest guy. We have a TikTok farmer in Alabama that owes us $55k on a cotton picker & it’s been an ongoing process to collect. And it’s usually the ones who crave the spotlight that can’t rub two nickels together. |

Yep...in same situation...$70K owed to me by a private company for about three years now. To go through the process to get a judgement and then collect off that judgement is almost as costly by the time both parties lawyer up. Hopefully it's cleaned up before I die so my grandkids can benefit from it. |
|
Re: Money judgement
|
Yep

I by no means am a lawyer ( dont claim to be ) but for that kind of money owed ( if it hasn't been resolved ) I'd at least go and try to repossess it ---- if this is the weigh it is everyone ought to go get one if you dont have to pay for it. |

From experience. Once you go and try to repossess something thats not in your possession the cops will be called and the first thing they will say is its a civil matter and without a court order they can do nothing. Without a court order to everyone not directly involved its a simple he said she said matter and nobody else truly knows whats what. This is why the old saying possession is 9/10 of the law. Lessons everyone in business should know. 1. Never trust anyone. 2. Always get paid in full first. 3. Always have a good lawyer on retainer. Another option i have used is turning things into a collection agency after 90 days. They will take 40% of recovered money and take about a year time but it is cheaper than lawyer fees in most cases and i have found once peopel know you dont f*** around and turn into collection at 90 days most people will do everything to avoid that. |

Your situation could be different, especially if there is an actual item to repossess. I went to court and won a judgment on money owed (rent). I now have a piece of paper that says they owe me, but no money (blood out of a turnip theory). I guess I wrecked their credit, should they want to get a loan, but I'm no better off. |

I would assume that Remedy is well hidden from anyone finding it, to thwart someone's attempt to repossess it..

Answer

Not a hard question to answer.
1 Pay up what you owe with interest or 2. Work it out with Mr Beck and return Inescess stolen property. Or 3 Send your backside to the jailhouse and Mr. Beck still gets his property back. Pick one Mr.Schuzlt's and Do The Right Thing. |

If you can’t afford it don’t buy it, if they don’t have the cash don’t sell it,pretty simple. |

The sad part is that a lawyer had to be hired & possibly this thread started for this man to finally get paid for his tractor. This kind of garbage runs rampid within the pulling world with suppliers lying about availability & lead times, to people putting deposits on new builds and getting the run around. It seems like every Motorsport has become infiltrated with con artists & sheisters that ruin the fun for the honest people. |

Right, it's not like this was all a big misunderstanding. Schultz didn't pay when he was supposed to and it got to the point where Beck had to go to court to go after his money. Schultz, knowing that he was going to have to cough up the money or the tractor soon, managed to get what he needed to pay it off. But regardless it almost certainly wasn't per the terms originally agreed upon. That is certainly relevant information for people looking to do business with him in the future. |

Hope both parties are happy. Have always heard from older guys the big dogs in tractor pulling usually have financial problems. |

If one was to be honest with ones self, unless you are completely debt free you are financing your pulling tractor. If you have an operating note or equipment note or somthing else owed on where that money could go its the same as paying off that debt and creating new debt for the pulling tractor. With that in mind i doubt very many pulling tractors are paid for in cash. But this is just for those that are completely honest with themselves. I could possibly understand long term land debt or a mortgage, but if anyone has any other short term debt and thinks they are paying cash for there pulling tractor just because they didnt directly barrow the money for that they are lieing to themselves PERIOD. |

Just Me
|
Any person that sells a pulling tractor and agrees to finance part or all of it isnt thinking clearly....Over the years I have purchased 3 state level pullers and the sellers all told me right up front that it was cash or bank check..The sellers all said that they werent in the loan business..If I had to have the seller finance a pulling tractor then I didnt even need it as they are money pits..One major blow up can make the puller worth half or less of the purchase price.
My late MIL sold 3 different properties and carried the note herself thinking that she would make more money than going thru a real estate agent...Every one of them turned in to a nightmare as they all stopped making payments, kept no insurance, took no care of things,etc...We tried to tell her that she was the lender of last resort as none of them could get a loan anywhere..She didnt listen and paid the price. |

I'm not sure if it's anyone else's business to tell a buyer and a seller how to perform their own personal transactions. It's their money and their responsibility to act in a trustworthy manner. Jason,
Thanks for the video, and thanks for sharing your side of the story. As I said in a topic about the Hook magazine recently, these two topics have been my least favorite topics on the page in a very, very long time. I thought long and hard about deleting both of them, but in the end I don’t think that does any good for the motorsport, and ultimately it makes it look like there’s something to hide. In these types of situations transparency is always the best option. Also, not deleting topics gets them through the news cycle quicker so we can all move on to more important things. There are always multiple sides to any story, and there are often legitimate reasons why everything in life doesn’t always go exactly as planned. Thanks for the clarification from your end. I’m also glad to hear that everything is settled financially with Mike Beck and you and your Dad can just have fun with the tractor this summer with no speculation or rumors. I’m hoping people can now put this to rest and move on and enjoy watching your DSS run hard.. For all those looking to tear down Jason, or Bryan, or me, or anyone else… people make mistakes. Extend grace. Yes, sometimes those mistakes are embarrassing or frustrating, but let's not be quick to judge. Now sure, there are legitimate times when people have gotten ripped off or scammed, and that’s happened a time or two on the For Sale page here, and it’s unfortunate, and those circumstances need to be brought to light. This is not one of those times. Also as a side note: Yes, there are some people who use and read this page and posted on this thread that don't seem to like you. There are plenty of people on my own page that have never meet me and don't like me. Some of it is jealousy, sometimes it's simply because people can't seem to disagree civilly anymore. That's just the nature of it. Everyone seems to hate on message boards when they are in the crosshairs and then love them when they are getting accolades. I get it; it’s human nature. It’s always been a thing to pretend like the page is irrelevant. PULLOFF.COM is in its 28th year of irrelevancy! I’ve had people tell me they never look at the page and then quote topic after topic word for word to me. I’m simply saying I wouldn’t underestimate our traffic… there are no bots here like other social media to inflate numbers, no algorithms curating what topics you see and don’t see, no paid or promoted topics. We are just pullers, promoters, and fans; talking, sharing, ranting and suggesting. Its a place where people still have personal choice on what topic to engage with. It seems like you took some unnecessary shots at the page (for you kids out there… threw some shade ), but I still think it’s a pretty valuable asset to this motorsport and based on the number of hits we get a good portion of the motorsport seems to agree.
Again, thanks for clarifying and setting the record straight. Jake Morgan Owner, PULLOFF.COM Independent Pulling News This page is a free service. The cost is covered out of my pocket. It takes a great deal of time and a fair amount of money to keep this website going. Donations for: photos, classified ads, forum discussion, etc... are appreciated. Side Note: We are no longer accepting PayPal donations. They have changed their terms of service and stated they would fine PayPal users for spreading "misinformation" and "hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory". PayPal did not provide definitions for some of these vague terms. Woke corporate policies regarding "misinformation" could result in an automatic fine of $2,500 which would have been removed directly from the customer’s PayPal account. PayPal did backdown from some of their policies but quietly implemented portions of them in later terms of service. A financial institute has no right to monitor social media accounts or speech. This is unacceptable and I'll no longer do business with PayPal. |
