NEW CLASS IN KY 5500 POUND UTILITY December 22, 2025 12:33PM
I am working on putting together a new class here in Kentucky If I get enough interest i think it can be made to happen. The class in mind would be say a 5500 pound utility type tractor class, 4 cylinder, turbo something. The 175 mf, 2030 johns, 5000 fords, and such can pull in. With around a 239 to 250 cubic inch limit,18.4 30 tire limit, 25 to 28 hundred rpm limit to keep from having so much safety equipment. Wheelie bars and a safety kill would be required. I have discussed this with a major organization here in ky and may be possible to make this work. If interested call 270 566 2901. If anyone has any great ideas for a class such as this feel free to post. This could be a affordable class and something different.

Why do we need another class if you want to pull you can find a class to run in

Budget classes eventually get expensive. It isn't a matter of if, but when. Would quickly become a 4bt Cummins and Ford class IMO.

Starting a new class to make it budget friendly has happened throughout the sport time and again. Thats a textbook example of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

I dont think a 4BT Cummins was ever offered? in a farm tractor so it shouldn't be allowed.I think a 4 cylinder class with a 250 cube limit would be neat..Most colors had them...Two less cylinders to mess with..

5120-5220 Case IH had the 4bt in them.

FYI - White American models 60 and 80 both used the 4 cylinder Cummins engine. There may be others as well.

Sounds interesting, how are you going to monitor engine displacement?

A M farmall is not a utility tractor it is a row crop pluss take a 100 cubic inch off 2500 rpms with governor.s and the home made head that everyone new was very questionable and just let go off it would just be a plain old m and as far as LOL Lost out Lettuce Head Youve been nothing but a user with no vision people like you just follow the leader your constant negative remarks only show your jealousy you couldnt have started a barbie doll beauty contest with your boy friends MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERY ONE

I have had several calls i think this could be something new with a lot of interest as far as all the 4bt comments yes they are good engine,s but the 8500 pound tractors they came out in such as the White and Case IH would never make 5500 pounds ,A few calls ive had seem to prefer the weight to be 6 or 6500 pull up and watch some of the European videos

Re: NEW CLASS IN KY 5500 POUND UTILITY December 25, 2025 01:17PM
