What happened at Midwest Nationals? See lots of talk about the hot farm class and poor sportsmanship? Lots of controversy going on with people maybe getting better parts than others? |

Hot Farmer

The hot farm class was bs this year. It was much better when they ran all hot farms from different organizations together, there used to be over 60 in the class, it was awesome! Now they have it split up so much and the pullers are now just pulling against the few guys they pull with all summer. This event is about bringing pullers together from across the country to see who truly is the best. This year in my eyes there wasnt a king crowned in hot farm. |

I was sent this post. Not sure what the context is?
A Big Congratulations to Brian McConnell awesome job on both #1 finishes and Making Wimer Shine.... But with that said All the bull$hit that went down the past week is pi$$ poor sportsmanship on several Competitors and Companies ..getting a turbo changed just before an event and none of us competitors getting to put any input or voting for it is absolutely ridiculous and Unfair most rules need to be discussed a lot of people had just bought new turbos ...All the he said he said BS and running good competitors off by bullying them and the Man that was just trying to put on an event getting threatened made me lose respect for a lot of people..We all put the same amount of time and money in our tractors..all I have to say is your not always gonna be on top and when you do get to the top the board is big and it makes you second guess why you do it...Thanks for taking part of the fun away |

Sometimes you gotta draw the line. In this case the line got drawn and the the gray areas eliminated. Class will be better for it in the long run. |

Just because a puller brings 6-7 tractors doesn't mean he can pull a tractor that does not come close to fitting within the rules |

Only 1 guy brought 6-7 tractors, so why didn't his tractor even come close to fitting the rules ? |

9500 pro farm

If your referring to the Ford in the 9500 pro farm it was an experiment to add numbers to the class. Since the class has low numbers and you don't like trying to fix it then it can go away and be replaced with something else |

Why did they need to add numbers to the hot farm class it seems to be a pretty good sized class. What was the conflict about |

It used to be a good sized class before they split it up in so many different ways. It should be the ntpa ppl 510 rules only. If you are a 466 3x3 tractor then put a 3.4 on if you feel you are at a disadvantage. If your tractor has 24.5s on then put 20.8s on, not that difficult. Either you make your tractor fit the rules and run in a big class all together with multiple flights or you choose a different class that fits your tractor better. Ntpa and ppl holds the standards for the hot farm class either your club runs their rules or your club has odd ball rules. |

The MWWN was literally built on combining several associations rules to make a class where they all run together. Not putting in one class and telling those who don't fit it they need to spend money to make changes to run in the class. The Hot Farm class was split because the 510's vs 24.5's vs 466's were no longer fairly competitive with each other. The 510's horsepower numbers, especially with the new turbo, has them out in front of the rest, and the 24.5's seem to have an advantage on the 20.8's. Wonderin how many 466 3x3 tractors actually run in the 510 class across the country that are actually competitive? Are their weights adjusted for the power difference? Allowed a bigger turbo to make up and weigh the 9500 still? I wld have to say even the best built 466 3x3 tractors wldnt even come close to running agains this new 3.4x4 hot farm turbo. Will this chase ppl from the class now that dont feel like spending 6 grand on a turbo when they mabey just purchased a new one last year or even 2 years ago? |
