Very impressive with all the classes hard chargers power - especially in Mini & PS.
Surprised to see PS puller Jeremy Smith now with a Mini. Is that a former Hirt Mini? |

Can't be, Norton still has both of his, and both are on this list. Try again |

Awesome list of pullers here! I'm most excited about the minis, the mods, and the pro stocks.
In the pro stock class the "Make it Happen" is the new Fendt debut at the farm show this week. But there is also a "Lincoln Diesel Specialties" tractor. Looks like the Simons have yet another Debut of a new tractor to make at some point. |

Good Chance the Lincoln Diesel specialties tractor is the old Loud and Heavy X.
They sold that tractor to Brent last year |

So all the naysayers saying this would work, now its gonna work too good and take too long??? Unbelievable!! |

Really; a naysayer is someone who is saying it won't work. Not sure if you are using naysayer is the right context. And I'm not really sure what the rest of your post is about. Dick Morgan www.PULLOFF.com Independent Pulling News Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/13/2026 11:03AM by Dick Morgan. |

I think it's going to work great. Pulling has needed a series like this for decades. That's just a lot of hooks... Shows going to take a while. |

Isn't it worth it? When was the last time anybody saw a show like this or will see one ever again if this doesn't take off?! And when I ask when the last time was anybody saw something like this, I'm not talking about the 50k pull in Farley last year. That was a weekend, not a series. |

Very impressive list of competitors. I'm sure the NTPA points race for several classes is going to look a bit different this year. |

Re: Complete list of Fendt Tour pullers

There doesn't appear to be many schedule conflicts between Fendt and NTPA Grand National, outside of a couple of classes at Elsworth. We'll see when the full NTPA schedule is released. I would be great if the two series worked together. At least we can hope. |

One might think some of them will skip the one event in favor of maintaining a points race, maybe that’s unrealistic and maybe it would depend on where they stand in the points at that time. |

This is a turning point where you are gonna see how pullers value quality over quantity.
Run all over creation for a $3000 points check, or pick and choose get a top 5 and get $3000 from a single event. I am not pooing on NTPA here, but they had better make changes to their model to a degree. The galaxy program has proved zero. History says that they won't and why would they. The WPI diehards are too loyal but this will change when you start seeing IHRA pullers holding up large cardboard checks. NTPA Pullers will have large checks too but no dollar amounts on them... With that said – PPL has zero to lose and all to gain in this deal. As a pulling fan I am cheering them on to see what they can do. And yes, I will still support my friends at the local NTPA shows. But this is at least moving the needle in a direction other than being at a standstill. |

You also have an overlap with Mackville and Farley. Mackville had to adjust the class list because of it, they dropped the semi and super stock diesel trucks. They still have an overlap with minis and mods, yes they have unlimited mod but the class numbers are subsidized by the mods.
I still do not understand Simon's thinking about keeping this pull on Fathers day weekend the fist big weekend of pulling in the midwest. I don't see how this does not hurt either organization. The High Stakes guys are less likely to play in other sand boxes to save their equipment for the big money runs, now you have 3 major schedules to support versus 2. 4 if you include Outlaws. How does the PPL benefit and NTPA suffer? Driver lists are mostly PPL competitors yes a few NTPA competitors but not as many. How many are going to drop back and run both PPL and High Stakes? So now shows like Hillsboro are going to suffer, but we made it better? Like I said before how does this format improve the show or the show quality or make pulling better? Now your making the thin list of top notch competitors chose which sand box to play in and pulling away from the longer running organizations that most fans identify with and pulling away from long established events. Yes PPL had to do something, they struggled since Lucas dropped out, but I don't think this was the way to go, I don't see how it will grow the sport, just a select few pullers get paid better. |

I hate to put it this way, but someone has to... This is more about the pullers, less about the fans. It's time they get a good portion of an ROI. I feel those select few pullers DESERVE to get paid better. Most, if not all pullers get screwed these days for how much time and money they put into their competition vehicles, transportation vehicles, and everything in between, just to return home with a little fuel money. Yes, I do understand this sport is more of a hobby than an actual job, but can't it become one? And it actually may grow the sport, because if this year is a success, then hopefully more pullers will be interested to join, as well as organizations as clubs doing what they can to bring their own to this level, i.e. paying more, getting more and greater sponsors, and improving the quality of the show for not just the puller, but for the fan as well. A truck and tractor pull needs to stop being just a show. It should be an EXPERIENCE of a lifetime! That is all. Have a great day. |
|
Re: Complete list of Fendt Tour pullers
|
Yep I agree
|
Morgan Schulte I agree pullers need a better ROI -- however alot of the problem is, pullers will still go pull for the same thing they've been pulling for for yrs, and that's the problem -- unless pullers unite and decide to only run the better paying pulls nobody will try very hard to get purses raised as long as pullers keep showing up. |

Just Sayin’

Ultimately, it will hopefully do what I think it’s designed to do which is both ROI and attract sponsors. But, the fact remains that outside of these pulls happening where I can also catch a drag race, there’s no appearance (show) difference between a Fendt event, a Champions Tour event, or a Grand National event..,…. or a region event - to the average fan.
There has to be a clear distinction between the event styles in order to be truly successful, IMO. |

Morgan I am going to agree with you on most of what you are saying. I think it's great the somebody is trying something new. I won't fault anyone for that. And as far as the Fendt series, I personally stand to see a great show. Where my questioning starts is about the money. I agree that payouts should be better and it isn't easy to just pay more. The Fendt serries is offering great money. That's great. But what is the long term plan? If this is something the IHRA is planning on backing, that's great. For how long? Be upfront with the pullers on what the plan is or isn't. And the biggest point you made is that a pull needs to be an experience. You are 100% correct there. The Fendt series is offering great payout. Other than that bringing top quality pullers, it really doesn't do anything for the fans. What else is going to happen to give the fans an experience? |

With the exception of Farley, aren't the other pulls also in conjunction with a drag race? |

Yes, I understand that and that might make a difference as far as fan experience. But I need to see how that works out before I say if that works. But I still feel you are promoting 2 different events. And then how are they doing admission? Is it one price for both the racing and pulling? Is it separate? If they have said, I don't know. But what I am talking about is more of case like Farley. And it isn't just the Fendt series. Is the on track show enough anymore if we are truly trying to grow the sport? It's been mentioned before about music playing in between hooks and making it more like a party. You always get that group that talks about how they are there to see a pull, not listen to music. Or that a little silence is nice. How long before that group isn't attending pulls anymore. I went to 2 nights at Farley last year. And I will be back out there this year. But I will have the option of probably 3-4 events to go to that weekend. If you don't follow pulling, it's just another pull. How do you make a pull an experience that puts your event above the top? |

Morgan your missing my point. I am not saying better pay for the pullers is a bad thing. I am asking how it will draw more fans and sponsors to support this model.
Like our federal government we can spend more money and give people more money but where is said money coming from? I hope this format works but if it doesn't I can see it hurting other long standing events and organizations including PPL. I can go to Tomah and see the same show that I will see at Farley? Actually at Tomah you see more classes with more competitors. How is Farley going to draw more fans and sponsors? How are you going to draw more competitors when the competitor list is limited to 15, invite only, and all classes are currently full but the 2 with the fewest competitors nationwide? There is no room for more competitors... Is it really the best of the best like you see at Farm show, notice most registered are previous PPL pullers, good ole boy list. Yep I Agree The pullers that don't get invited should then boycott every other pull because they did not get an invite to pull for possibly more money and let there vehicle sit? that makes sense... I won't get into what drivers are actually making more money or actually have a chance at the 10k to win, your just going to whittle out the small guys again. More promoters? They are also limiting the promoter list. Not to mention how will you draw more promoters when promoters are interested in how much money they can make and there is nothing drawing more fans to this format and probably costing them more? If it is the same price for a promoter to run this format then why did Hillsboro or Mackville not jump on board? I hope Hillsboro doesn't get hurt because now the PPL guys are afraid to run anywhere else because they are in the hunt for "big money". I hope this system works and the pullers get paid but right now it is pullers looking at there pocket and not how they are going to get more butts in the seats and more sponsors on board, note more sponsors depends on more butts, more pulls and more money also depends on more butts. What in this format is changing to draw more butts? |

Dick: look 3 messages above mine, I was using sarcasm and responding to Yep I Agree calling for pullers to:
"however alot of the problem is, pullers will still go pull for the same thing they've been pulling for for yrs, and that's the problem -- unless pullers unite and decide to only run the better paying pulls nobody will try very hard to get purses raised as long as pullers keep showing up." If my sarcasm did not come through on the above statement I apologize, IT IS THE WORST IDEA EVER! My entire point is if we don't make the show better we will not put more butts in the seats in turn not recovering more revenue in turn drawing more promoters, sponsors, and pullers and then putting more money in the pullers pockets. How is the current High Stakes format going to put more butts in the seats, it is the same format as any other pull out there except the pullers get paid more. |
