Are there to many winter pulls?

Does the winter pulling schedule have to many shows? It seems like in the last few years there has been new event after new event. It's getting so crowded that now events are being scheduled on the same weekend, further diluting the available vehicles. Unfortunately weather, travel issues, family commitments are also pullers concerns. Dick Morgan www.PULLOFF.com Independent Pulling News Edited 1 time(s). Yes, next question.
It dilutes the available pullers for each pull. |

I don't think so. The problem is that thier isn't a standard set of classes and rules. Back in the day it used to be basically groups like TNT for the bigger pulls and groups like Pro Shiws that did some of the middle ground pulls. They would have enough pulls to make it worth while to run year around and do things like have engines you would run during the summer and engines you ran in the winter for indoor tracks. Now adays its basically every pull has its own rules with different groups and none of them work together. So it makes it hard to justify getting everything up and running for one or two hooks during the winter. Will also say that parts are harder to get than they used to be. But the winter pulls used to pay really good money. |

Is there a venue in Ohio that could host a pull?
The Fort Wayne Coliseum is an awesome venue for a pull (300+ foot track too). Yoder Popcorn showed that what is possible. |

In the '80's through the '90's there were as many if not more indoor events than there currently are. Too much or too little, I leave that question to the promoters |
