its hard

It's hard, it seemed like once again Friday night took forever to get finished. Saturday night they ran through the show in a stellar fashion. Maybe Friday night didn't take as long as it seemed but, Saturday night they were right with the program. Still, some pulling is better than no pulling this time of the year. |

The Florida dirt will not handle 4 engine mods.
Even if they do get a sheep's foot roller next year. |

shocking

Well, as you can see, the complaint department shifted from the event and its proceedings to a points update. It's March. If the biggest concern is a points update 2 days after the earliest season points events in pulling history, then I think they did just fine.
The event this past weekend seemed reasonably well ran considering both venues are new to the competitors, and Florida soil has its share of challenges. I think it's great we had a couple of new events to help fill the puling void in the most dismal stretch of late winter. Kudos to all involved!!!! |

Since some of you are wanting a fight –
- Friday it seemed like a lotta pullers brought junk.. On TV it looked like only half of the iron went down the track - Running Cleetus in the second class was dumb, you could see that he got bored with all of the downtime. Plus he was ready to fly out and head to TX. He won't travel to go to a tractor pull anytime soon from the sounds of it - pulling has to go to him. - Saturday there was still too much downtime between hooks, the show got over at a decent time though. - That track never got enough water in it from watching TV anyways |

Buckeye fan,
So it's your opinion that we drove a thousand miles one way to an NTPA GN event to embarrass ourselves and show up with junk? We struggled through two of the worst weekends of pulling I can remember, we didn't manage one full pass with either tractor out of three hooks. We love pulling and love competing in front of fans. It was a very long drive back to Indiana with our tail between our legs, there were other pullers that drove from places like Canada, Nebraska, Iowa, Maine and Michigan to bring NTPA pulling back to Florida. Not to mention all of the hard work of the promoters and crews. Many including us try to improve our pulling equipment every winter to be more competitive... sometimes it doesn't workout like we think it should. Some of these pullers drove all the way back north to their shop to work on their "JUNK" then drive all of the way back to the next event in Florida. These pulling vehicles require a tremendous amount of dedication, hard work, time and money to go down the tracks all summer...no one is more disappointed in how poorly our "JUNK" ran than we pullers were. There comes a time when dedication begins to wane...I'm slowly getting there. A lake might be calling my name. I hope your next pulling experience is more satisfying for you. Buckeye fan, why would you trash someone, anyone that drove hundreds of miles and spent countless hours getting to put on a show for the fans. Makes no sense at all. And once again my name is on my post, where's yours? Dick Morgan www.PULLOFF.com Independent Pulling News |

Dream on

It is a complete disappointment to drive 23 hours to pull on the worse two tracks I’ve pulled on in 26 years…. Basically the main reason there was so many 4.1 is so that we can qualify for BG… Lotta pullers are upset about the whole experience look in the bright side we can qualify for BG now lol. |

Were you drunk or stoned while watching? Not sure where you come up with any of this besides just to bitch about something even if it doesn’t have any merit! |

So I take it you watched it on tv and were not actually there? |

This is based solely off what others have said, but the show pace issue is a real thing with people they're trying to market to.
Looking to 2027, my thought is if NTPA, promoters, and most of all pullers liked the experience, I could them swapping the classes so the same guys don't have to be gone for 2 weeks every year. I could see FWD for the SSD FWD, the 4-engine mod class for light mods, SF for 4.1 for example. Maybe the classes change a little each year. |

4.1
|
I know a lot of guys in 4.1 can’t make that commitment. My self included. Be nice if like every 3rd or 4th year every class go down there if it’s going to be an every year deal. Or make it an independent points deal |

Running a pull is like being a basketball referee or a punter in football. When things go smoothly, nobody notices and it's usually a thankless job. |
